“Unfair power dynamics?” Sara questioned, raising an eyebrow. “You’re my pet person, Jordy. You’re my responsibility. You have more autonomy than most Littles. You should hear the stuff the likes of Cindy Wessen spews. She’d have you in a collar that would choke you if you stepped out of line or spoke too loudly. It’s disgusting.” Sara’s tone darkened, her usual playful demeanor giving way to something more serious.
Jordan shifted uncomfortably at the statement, his arms crossing over his chest. The thought of someone like Cindy having any say over Littles made his stomach churn.
“Did you hear the one last week about Littles not eating at the same table? I thought Chloe was going to lose it when Cindy said Littles should eat on the floor,” Ellie added, shaking her head in disbelief as she swiped through her phone.
“ugh my mom tried something similar. She was more wanting it because she doesn’t like feet on the table. Its a pet peeve. Even if im resting my feet on a coffee table or my own desk. She will comment.”
Jordan frowned. “Why do you even listen to Cindy’s podcast if you don’t agree with it?”
Ellie smirked. “Because it’s funny. You should hear the crazies who call into her show or the rants she goes on. It’s so over the top. She was in our Guardian training class, if you can believe that?”
Jordan’s brows furrowed, a pit forming in his stomach. “Wait, she was in your class? So she’s a registered Guardian?”
Sara nodded, her fingers absentmindedly tapping against the counter. “Unfortunately. That’s what makes it worse. She’s got a platform, and people listen to her.”
“People agree with her?” Jordan asked, his voice quieter now, like he wasn’t sure he wanted the answer.
Sara sighed. “Some do. Not everyone, obviously, but enough to be concerning. That’s why Chloe gets so worked up about it. People like Cindy want laws passed that strip Littles of any independence. They see you as solely property, not a pet person like I do.”
Jordan swallowed hard, the weight of the conversation settling over him. He had always known there were people who saw Littles as less than, but hearing it so plainly made it feel more real.
“You don’t have to worry, Jordy,” Sara said, her voice gentler now. “You’re in a good home. That’s exactly what I’m trying to protect you from.”
Jordan looked up at her, searching for something in her expression. There was no teasing smirk this time, no playful glint in her eye. Just sincerity.
“You know how much I do for you, right?” Sara continued, her voice steady but soft. “I made sure you have your own space, real clothes that fit, food that’s actually meant for Littles and curate normal food for you. Some Littles aren’t that lucky. Some are locked in cages or dressed in doll clothes for their Guardian’s amusement. I don’t do that to you because I don’t see you that way. You’re still Jordy, even if you’re smaller now.”
Jordan shifted, glancing around his habitat. He knew she was right. He had autonomy, more than most Littles. Sara had fought for that, in ways he hadn’t even thought about.
“But Cindy Wessen,” Sara went on, her voice sharp again, “she wants full ownership. No autonomy. No identity. Littles wouldn’t even have names, just numbers or tags. She wants legislation that would make it illegal for Littles to do anything without explicit approval from their Guardian. No free movement, no personal belongings. She thinks of Littles as unintelligent animals who exist to serve mankind at best, and at worst…”
Sara trailed off, shaking her head. Ellie picked up the thought. “At worst, she wants it like it is in the third world countries. There are no protections, no regulations. People just… take them. Claim them. Cindy thinks that’s how it should be. She calls it ‘the natural order.’”
Jordan’s stomach tightened. “That’s insane.”
“It is,” Sara agreed. “That’s why Chloe fights so hard against people like her. Why I don’t let you get involved in any of that nonsense. You’re my pet person, Jordy. You’re my responsibility, but you’re still an individual person with feelings and thoughts. You are still you.”
Ellie nodded. “Exactly. And yeah, you complain about Sara being overprotective sometimes, but trust me, you’re better off with her than someone like Cindy.”
Jordan wanted to believe them. And for now, he decided that was enough.
Sara hesitated before speaking again, her voice softer. “I’m sorry if it feels like I’m taking away all your rights, Jordy. I just… I don’t know how else to keep you safe. I try to let you keep as many as I can.”
Jordan sighed. “I know, Sara. I just… wish things were different.”
Sara nodded. “So do I.”
It’s funny how often cindy is coming up in Smallara and Kayla considering what ends up happening to her in the future.
does her being a little become public knowledge way in the future?
Possibly and I’m positive she’ll get shit from Littles and pro littles rights people soon I hope it doesn’t get violent with her sure give her some shit but don’t become the same thing as her. But like I said it will be interesting to see her journey to becoming better hopefully.
I know most here would prefer to see her fall too and endless abyss of karma but I rather see her get better like daredevil said “ i’m Catholic I believe in retribution, but I also believe in redemption” so hopefully we see progress not only in her but world wide
I believe in redemption but I think Cindy will need Kez and Mads help to hook up with Chole and Sara to start a webcast and to help littles and show that Cindy was wrong from her testimony but I think Cindy needs more teaching time with Kenz and Mads working together on Cindy because even as a little she thinks she is special and has a distain for herself and other littles. I think she should have to spend a week with the Mexican family she was not friendly with for no reason and have to do all the girls nails and clean their shoes and have to watch TV on the girls laps and have them pet her like a cat so she starts to lean into the petting and wanting more.
It’s used to establish to the readers that Cindy was an influential person and did have devotee group of people who believe similarly and establish world building.
The old show don’t tell. I want to show how she is so there is an understanding of why people act the way they do towards her in Madison’s world
I’m sure she’s missed several appointments and interviews, her pod cast would stop having updates, eventing people would notice her absence and ask where she is, it’d come out eventually.
Ironically a Little supporting her bullshit would validate it to many people.
Well damn another deep chapter
Also damn Cindy was a bitch back in the day. It well be fascinating to see her personal journey when we get back to Madison world.
I both question and see how this world functions with Littles and their very little to non existent rights
And when you say third world countries do you mean like Philippines, or just lower rated countries or countries like china and Russia and so on either way this world some how makes ours look like a saint and that’s saying a lot.
Third world countries are normally very poor, have high poverty rates, high mortality rates, they aren’t able to use the natural resources they possess.
Like Iraq is considered a third world country. a lot of African countries are third world countries. First world countries are generally US, EU AU, etc. the countries you would generally expect.
Actually a lot of what happens in smallara i based on real world and where we were trending. For instance the U.S. is currently deporting U.S. citizens who were born in the U.S. because there parents were not legal U.S. citizens. They are challenging birthright citizenship to in essence retroactively remove someones citizenship that this happening this year in 2025 as we speak.
I wrote about this happening in Smallara all the way back in 2021 because it was trend where a certain political party in the U.S. was headed. So that revoking and removing a persons rights which is happening to littles is happening right now.
So in essence these people can lose there home and anything they cannot bring with them.
A portion of the population in the smallara world voted in a president who doesn’t believe in little rights just like a portion of the U.S. voted in a president who doesn’t care about a subset of peoples rights.
What is happening in Smallara and I’ve been writing about an incorporating into the story since 2021 is happening. You have government doing things in America to distribute wealth to the already rich while gatekeeping the middle and poorer classes in the real world. In Smallara you have the government gatekeeping littles from the middle and poorer classes while distributing wealth amongst rich in taxes, fees, and products. The costs little goods are arbitrarily higher to further gatekeep and create more wealth. amongst those who are already wealthy.
The world of Smallara in a lot of ways is not as harsh as the real world because you have companies like Generitech who are doing good things. But overall I would not say anything happening in this world makes our world look better.
As Smallara story is only taking events and trendlines of what we are doing in the real world and presenting it in a story. Depicting the realities of the real world in a fictioanlized world through a different medium people find interesting thus able to highlight how messed up some of this is.
Would be in line where Sara bring up how the stock market is crashing and how the current president is talking about making Greenland and Canada as part of the U.S, getting us in trade wars, and so on
Im not on a team and I am driven by facts and the media and hollywood is being erased because they have been part of a documented and proven propaganda team. I commonly prove my family on the right and left wrong because of documented facts. I would like to see the documented deportation of a American citizen with a SSA #?
I’d like to think Preema Tech washed their hands of Cindy once she became a little.
In Madison’s world she had already left preema tech by then and was doing consulting work for businesses who were integrating littles into their companies
0) Feels wrong for Sara to be the one critising Cindy, It should be Chloe.
1.1) “Unfair power dynamics? You’re my pet person, Jordy. You’re my responsibility” the very thing she herself has called unfair
1.2) “She’d have you in a collar that would choke you if you stepped out of line or spoke too loudly. It’s disgusting.” Cindy will face karma, unlike some characters.
2.1) “Did you hear the one last week about Littles not eating at the same table?” I wonder if Cindy’s daughters would uphold that.
2.2) “I thought Chloe was going to lose it when Cindy said Littles should eat on the floor,” Love Chloe’s reaction
3) “ugh my mom tried something similar. She was more wanting it because she doesn’t like feet on the table. Its a pet peeve.” I still ay the solution is Sara washes Jordan’s feet before putting him on any table.
4) “Why do you even listen to Cindy’s podcast if you don’t agree with it?” Who said they don’t agree with it? They may not be in 100% agreement, but they’re more similar than different. (Maybe a 70%-80% match.)
5) “Because it’s funny. You should hear the crazies who call into her show or the rants she goes on. It’s so over the top” and yet it’s just a more extreme version of what y’all believe.
6.1) “Wait, she was in your class? So she’s a registered Guardian?” Appropriate erection, But Jordan already knows that Saddie was in that class.
6.2) “Unfortunately. That’s what makes it worse. She’s got a platform, and people listen to her.” So do you and you’re not as much better than Cindy as you think.
7.1) “People agree with her?” – “Some do. Not everyone, obviously, but enough to be concerning.” and some like Sara who agree with some/most but not all.
7.2) “That’s why Chloe gets so worked up about it. People like Cindy want laws passed that strip Littles of any independence.” not to differnt from the Laws already passed.
7.3) “They see you as solely property, not a pet person like I do.” Sara’s view of Jordan shifts with her mood.
8) “Jordan swallowed hard, the weight of the conversation settling over him. He had always known there were people who saw Littles as less than” yeah, his guardians one.
9.1) “You don’t have to worry, Jordy, You’re in a good home. That’s exactly what I’m trying to protect you from.” debatable.
9.2) “Jordan looked up at her, searching for something in her expression. There was no teasing smirk this time, no playful glint in her eye. Just sincerity” of course he’d assume there’d a catch.
10.1) “You know how much I do for you, right?” She knows how much she’s done against him, right?
10.2) “I made sure you have your own space, real clothes that fit, food that’s actually meant for Littles and curated normal food for you.” That sounds like the bare minimum.
10.3) “Some Littles aren’t that lucky.” Plenty of Littles are better off than Jordan too.
10.4) “Some are locked in cages or dressed in doll clothes for their Guardian’s amusement.” Sara’s done both of those things. (not dolls clothes, but she has dressed him up for her amusement)
10.5) “You’re still Jordy, even if you’re smaller now.” He’s still the name change she picked for him.
11) “No identity. Littles wouldn’t even have names, just numbers or tags. She wants legislation that would make it illegal for Littles to do anything without explicit approval from their Guardian. No free movement, no personal belongings. She thinks of Littles as unintelligent animals who exist to serve mankind at best, and at worst…” a lot of those are already in place, Littles can have their names changed on a whim of their guardians (many of them are automatically given their guardian’s last name.) Littles can’t do much unless their guardian allows, Littles don’t personally own anything, and Sara does think of Jordan as an animal and has no issue using Jordan as a servant.
12) “At worst, she wants it like it is in the third world countries. There are no protections, no regulations. People just… take them. Claim them. Cindy thinks that’s how it should be. She calls it ‘the natural order.’” As much as I’ve criticised the American system and its inadequate protection of Littles, that is worse.
14) “That’s why Chloe fights so hard against people like her. Why I don’t let you get involved in any of that nonsense.” She doesn’t want Jordan to know about Little rights and what he could have, she just wants him to know what she allows him to have.
15) “you complain about Sara being overprotective sometimes, but trust me, you’re better off with her than someone like Cindy.” And he’s better off with someone like Chrissy or Hailey than someone like Sara.
16) “I’m sorry if it feels like I’m taking away all your rights, Jordy. I just… I don’t know how else to keep you safe. I try to let you keep as many as I can.” Really? Cause she was very proudly telling about the ones he’d lost. I think she should tell him which rights she still has, instead of keeping it vague by saying “some rights”.
17.1) “I know, Sara. I just… wish things were different.” I know buddy
17.2) “So do I.” you I don’t trust. Some how i think your “wish things weer different” still involves Littles existing and being up for sale.
I am glad Chole is in Saras life and I think has changed her a lot for the better and hopefully Chole and Sara can create a Little city out on some land they can grow their own food and raise their own family’s and got to little college to get jobs helping humans Through Choles company.
Personally, I think Chloe deserves better, someone she doesn’t need to curb her compassion around to avoid offending.
Damn some very valid points on Sara part like I’m not saying she cruel or anything but she has so many moments of double standards, hypocrisy, contradictions, and revisited history about the things she says and does. She growing but it’s step by step
In the smallara world, nothing will change until a mutated virus starts effecting so called immune people because then everyone will be afraid they could become a little and be under the oppressive rules. The rule for you and not for me wouldn’t be around anymore because of their transformation.
Personally I don’t think it’s bad that Sara has these flaws.
I just don’t like that they’re let slip so often. She is treated like she’s the best thing that could have happened to Jordan, dispite everything she does and almost no one holds her accountable.
It’s not enough that she doesn’t do them again, she has to answer for the bad she’s done.
I agree with you that part of redemption is acknowledging your past sins and saying your sorry and you will do better.
0) why? Sara has never fully shared her mothers beliefs
1) In Sara’s eyes there is a different between pet and slave though. She views Jordan as a pet but she doesn’t view him as a slave. Which is a distinction
1.2) You could say Sara being bullied was Karma granted it took place before the series. Also
2) McKenzie hasn’t so far.
2.2) Well that is a good way to get Chloe Riled up.
3) His feet would still be on the table though which is the part she doesn’t like. She also doesn’t like that she views feet as dirty but the act of the feet being on the table in state is the pet peeve.
4) I wouldn’t say they share her beliefs. As they don’t consider littles to be slaves. As Sara and her friends as I said before view slavery and a pet as different. Like Mocha wasn’t sara’s slave. While there is probably some crossover. Its not nearly as high as you have it.
5) They really are just listening to it for the entertainment factor. There isn’t much of a ulterior motive behind it.
6) “Approprite erection” had me rolling. Jordan only saw Sadie for a little bit in lunch one time. The reader got a better understanding of her then Jordan did. As its not he got the full back story. He would have just seen some of the actions and what the girls said. Hwoever he was also eating which would have distracted him.
6.2) Sara has a platform but she doesn’t actively use it to denounce littles. Being the spokesperson for little mart would actually make it hard for her to be anti-little.
7) Sara doesn’t really care for cindy though.
7.2) Cindy does raise funds and support the people who put the existing laws into power. So its not surprising.
7.3) Most women’s views change with their moods in my experience.
8) Jordan does think higher of Sara then you do though. So he woudln’t count sara in that group.
9) He is in a better home then he would be under Cindy’s care.
10) she doesn’t
10.2) Sadly that is not universally true. Especially overseas.
10.3) I guess it depends how interpret plenty.
10.4) She dresses him but she more wants him to look nice. Its not like she is putting him in a chicken costume.
11) She does think of him as pet/animal. But i wouldn’t say servant. She has asked him to do things but its not his primary function to do chores for her or something. I would say bryce is more a servant.
12) That is the reality overseas in the non-allied nations.
14) A little bit column a little bit of column B
15) Well its not like Jordan gets to choose. Thats a defining part of the series is the little doesn’t really get to choose there guardians.
16) Sara probably isn’t going to do that.
17.2) Well its the system she knows. No one has proposed an alternative system that is more reasonable then what they have.
0) Nor has she ever fully shared Chloe, but she’s closer to Tiff than Chloe
1.1) My point was she’s admitted it too
1.2) I don’t count that as Charity’s immunity means she’s getting Karma for bullying Sara, doesn’t feel like Karma if Sara gets the last laugh.
2.2) I like her passion
4) I doubt it’s be lower than 50% match. I think it comes down to semantics as to the definition of slavery here.
5) Doesn’t sound fun for Chloe.
6.1) Not what I meant, lol. I get that Jordan doesn’t know Saddie’s context, but I’d argue she was distracting him from eating not the other way around.
6.2) She’s pro-underbred, not pro-Little, She’s definitely had her anti-little moment, like how disgusted she is with actual pro-Little people (Chloe excluded)
7.1) You can partially agree with someone without caring for them.
7.2) I hate her more now.
7.3) Indeed
8) He doesn’t have the same context as I do.
9.1) That’s not a high bar.
10.1) No self-awareness, typical.
10.2) I know.
10.3) I’d say Jordan’s in the middle.
10.4) She dressed him in a fantast costume for her DnD game is what I as referring to, also in the Halloween special she wanted him dressed as a parrot, but went with slave instead (which is a touch on the nose)
11) Bryce is more of a servant, as are Greg and Cindy.
15) Jordan actually did get a choice, or rather the illusion of choice as he’d been heavily manipulated.
16) No, a little to decent for her.
17.2) I’m sure the Gracewoods would have tried putting a suggestion forward.
This picture makes me think how lucky Jordan is to have two giant beautiful woman taking care of him, even with all the stuff he puts up with being a smallara victim lol.
Really? It makes me think, “Why is he still in his pajamas when he put his school uniform on in the last chapter?”
He is hoping they strip him and dress him lol.
Um, on this website, the only way I know to get the next chapter to show up is to reload the page. But now reloading always takes me to the very bottom of the comments instead of where I was, like it used to. Do you know what is causing this?
When you came to this page, did you do so by clicking a link to a comment or on the actual chapter?
Because if you clicked on the comment then that’s what reloading will take you to.
I would agree with Lethal. It sounds like you are clicking on the comments and not the chapter titles. the chapter titles are in the left column. the comments are in the right column.
Jordy: “Yeah, well…. you didn’t let me have a soda that time. Remember? I was devastated.”
Littles in other countries: “Oh, really? Yeah… over here they use us as food…. you dipshit.”
Jordy: “Yeah…. but still….me want soda.”
lol, Sara will never live that soda refusal down. Lethal has been on her about that as well from time to time
