The car rumbled beneath Jordan as Sara pulled out of the school parking lot, the low vibrations running through his body as he sat nestled in his usual spot between her seat and the center console. It wasn’t an uncomfortable spot, in fact, it was probably one of the safest places for him during car rides. From here, he had a decent view of the world outside without the looming risk of being jostled too much.
The moment Sara hit the open road, the car filled with the unmistakable sound of Taylor Swift. Stephanie, Ellie, and Sara sang along without hesitation, belting out lyrics with the kind of unfiltered enthusiasm that only true fans possessed. Jordan, however, remained silent, arms crossed, watching them with mild amusement—and mild suffering.
For someone his size, their voices weren’t just loud; they were booming. Every chorus felt like an earthquake, the high notes practically vibrating through his bones. It wasn’t just the volume, though that was enough to make his ears ring, it was the sheer force of their voices. The air itself seemed to tremble with their energy, and at times, he could feel the reverberation in his chest, like he was standing too close to a concert speaker. Ellie, in particular, seemed to be going for sheer power over precision, her voice breaking just enough to make him wince.
As they pulled up to a stoplight, Jordan caught Stephanie looking down at him, her head tilted in curiosity.
“I take it you’re not much of a Swiftie, Jordy?” Stephanie asked, her voice carrying a teasing edge.
Jordan didn’t even think before answering. “God no.”
The second the words left his mouth, he realized his mistake. He slowly turned his gaze upward toward Sara, who was now looking at him with the kind of unimpressed expression that made his stomach drop.
Ellie gasped dramatically, placing a hand on her chest as if he had just insulted her personally. “Blasphemy!” she exclaimed. “You mean to tell me you’ve been living in Sara’s house, benefiting from her generosity, existing in her presence, and you haven’t become a devoted follower of the Church of Swift?”
Jordan groaned. “Oh my God, Ellie”
“No, no, I’m genuinely concerned,” Ellie continued, turning toward Sara as if filing an official complaint. “Sara, I think you need to revoke his music privileges. No more casual listening. No more playlists of his choice. Only Taylor. 24/7.”
“Oh, that’s a fantastic idea,” Sara said, nodding in mock-seriousness. “Really let him absorb the full range of her artistry.”
Ellie snorted, barely containing her laughter at his attempt to backpedal. Jordan scrambled for a response. “We’ve just been so busy, Sara. I haven’t had time to devote to it. I’m waiting for a moment I can listen to the whole thing uninterrupted.”
Ellie smirked. “Oh, you mean like right now?”
Sara’s lips curled into a knowing smile. “Oh, you should have said something,” she said, eyes still on the road, but a devious glint in her eyes. “I’ll schedule a listening session into our weekend. You know, the full experience for you, lights out, no distractions, just letting the vocals wrap around you like a warm blanket. I really think you’ll enjoy it.”
Jordan knew that tone. It was the same one she used when she was about to enforce one of her ‘fun’ bonding experiences, whether he liked it or not.
“Oh, I’m sure it will be… some kind of experience,” he hedged, desperate to steer the conversation away from whatever Sara was plotting. “But weren’t you going out with Kelli and Ellie this weekend for some kind of makeup thing?”
“Oh, I’m totally down for a good listening session,” Ellie chimed in, not even looking up from her phone. “I’m sure Kelli won’t mind. It’ll put us in the right mood for some retail therapy after.”
“Absolutely,” Stephanie added, nodding sagely. “Jordy deserves the full indoctrination.”
Sara nodded, tapping her fingers on the steering wheel. “Good thinking, Jordy.”
Jordan sighed, slumping slightly. He had sealed his fate. There was no escaping the Swiftie initiation now.
Ellie leaned in, lowering her voice like she was revealing some grand secret. “You know, Jordy, resistance is futile. Just embrace it. One day, you’ll be singing along without even realizing it.”
Jordan shot her a glare. “Over my dead body.”
Ellie just grinned. “Oh, it’s so happening.”
Sara, I think you need to revoke his music privileges. No more casual listening. No more playlists of his choice. Only Taylor. 24/7

lol
I’m with Jordan I don’t like Taylor Swift’s music at all or her cult-like fanbase.
she has passionate fans thats for sure.
Yeah, I used to think it was kind of odd until i remembered that ICP, Grateful Dead, Jimmy Buffett, and a few others have similar fanbases just not as wide spread. ICP and GD have a very, very devoted fanbase, or at least GD used to lol
My wife and I have been metallica fans for over 30 years and I have been to 17 concerts, we went from being up front on the fence to older fans buying good seats sitting with other Gen X, their Fan base is Massive all over the world so I understand the swifts lol.
1) “as he sat nestled in his usual spot between her seat and the center console.” isn’t this his first time sitting there?
2.1) “The car filled with the unmistakable sound of Taylor Swift. Stephanie, Ellie, and Sara sang along without hesitation” Oh, that sounds horrible
2.2) “Jordan, however, remained silent, arms crossed, watching them with mild amusement—and mild suffering” That’d be just terrible to endure.
3) “It wasn’t just the volume, though that was enough to make his ears ring, it was the sheer force of their voices. The air itself seemed to tremble with their energy, and at times, he could feel the reverberation in his chest” so much for lowering their voices for him.
4) “I take it you’re not much of a Swiftie, Jordy?” – “God no.” Oh Jordan you fool, why wuld you say that infront of them.
5.1) “Blasphemy!” It actually was, but not for the reason Ellie’s implying.
5.2) “You mean to tell me you’ve been living in Sara’s house, benefiting from her generosity, existing in her presence, and you haven’t become a devoted follower of the Church of Swift?” Also, enduring her selfishness, putting up with her bullshit, suffering her abuse.
6.1) “Sara, I think you need to revoke his music privileges. No more casual listening. No more playlists of his choice. Only Taylor. 24/7.” those were the rules already set for him in 355 & 357.
6.2) “Oh, that’s a fantastic idea,” you already did you bitch.
7) “I’ll schedule a listening session into our weekend. You know, the full experience for you, lights out, no distractions, just letting the vocals wrap around you like a warm blanket. I really think you’ll enjoy it.” very on brand thig for Sara to do.
8) “Absolutely,” Stephanie added, nodding sagely. “Jordy deserves the full indoctrination.” Damn it Steph, stop helping
9.1) “You know, Jordy, resistance is futile. Just embrace it” is not the only thing in Jordan’s life they’re trying to make that true about.
9.2) “Over my dead body.” – “Oh, it’s so happening.” the more they force it the more he’ll hate it.
1) no he’s been there before, he’s also been in her seat, and he’s been held by hte passenger, and in the back seat. I think he was in the cup holder at one point as well but that may just been an idea. He’s been in most places a person of his size can be in a car at this point.
2) It wouldn’t be great. Even if they have decent singing voices it probably would be not great for a little person.
2.2) It’s not great having to sit through it full sized either. I think the endure nature of the situation is pretty much any guy of any size personally.
3) Sometimes passion and spirit outweigh sensibilities. You just get in that vibe or mood.
4) My thought process was it was just a instinctual response a person gives without thinking. A reflex kind of thing almost. Then once you say it you’re like oh probably should have responded differently.
5) lol
5.2) Potatoes, patatoes, as they say. ne persons benefitting is another enduring lol. BUt it really is two sides of the same coin. I can understand your point but also see where Ellie is coming from.
6) Ellie doesn’t know that though. My thought process was even if she was told or heard she certainly woudln’t commit that memory. Plus she isn’t being serious. She is more just messing with Jordan as they do with one another.
6.2) Sara is also playing along with Ellie’s joke. She isn’t being serious in this moment. restricting jordans music isn’t much of a threat as he hasn’t used it yet. As he isn’t in the habitat all that much and just got the tablet.
7) Well she is taking him to a concert. Most everyone i know of generally listens to the music beforehand of the artist tehy are going to. As a preparation kind of thing. But its doubtful they will actually do this.
8) Not a fan of steph getting into friendly teasing?
9.1) well they aren’t really serious about this. the intention is its just a friendly joking all around as they drive to Sara’s house. Nothing here is meant to be taken seriously. Its more meant to establish the friendly nature jovial nature of the group. they aren’t going to Chain jordan to an airpod and force Taylor upon him.
because of his advanced hearing and size, is there head phones that drown out the giants loud voices like noise canceling headphones?
Truly the worst think Sara has ever done. Unforgivable sin. 0/10 ign. I will personally pay for Jordan’s therapy.
#Savemyboy
I thought Madison was cruel to Cindy, but now Sara has crossed the line.
Maybe its a east coast thing but those houses are super close together for a expensive community lol.
It could be a New York thing, I do hear it’s expensive.
But also bare in mind, the Reeves are supposed to be on the lower end of upper class, in this story only Gavin amd Jordan are supposed to be from poorer families than Sara. Sara was Jordan’s neighbour after all.
That is just a neighborhood she is driving through on the way home, not the one she lives in.
Ok, my wife and I and got a house in one of those fancy neighborhoods’ at the last big housing bubble so I was wondering, we never would have paid full price. lol.
