Sara lowered her hand, setting it gently near Jordan, palm up and still. He looked up at her towering figure, his Guardian, this teenage girl who, despite being shorter than most people, loomed over him like a living mountain. It was still surreal. Even now, he couldn’t fully grasp how vast the world had become. Sara was short by average human standards, but next to him, she was endless.
Most other Littles Jordan had met were taller than him, Kelli, Gavin, they all had a bit more height, a bit more presence. He had come to understand he was on the shorter end even in the Little community. It was one of those small details that shouldn’t have mattered, but somehow did. Another reminder of how profoundly his world had changed.
With a quiet breath, he climbed into Sara’s hand. Her skin was warm and steady beneath his feet, the ridges of her palm familiar now. She curled her fingers around him protectively, not in a way that caged him, but in a way that told him he was safe. Cradling him gently, she sat back down on the couch. Across the room, Ellie and Steph were digging through their bags, voices muffled by the distance. For now, it was just the two of them, just Sara and Jordan.
She looked down at him, her eyes softer than usual.
“Look, Jordy,” she said, her voice quiet, vulnerable. “We’re going to be in each other’s lives… forever. Whether that sounds overwhelming or comforting, I don’t know. But it’s the truth. And I need you to know something.”
Jordan tilted his head slightly. Sara rarely spoke like this. Usually, her affection came through teasing or her playful dominance. But this was something else.
“I had the best of intentions with you from the start,” she said. “You’re my little pet person, and I say that with love, not possession. I love you dearly. And I know… I know it hasn’t always felt like that.”
She paused, her lips pressing together before she quoted, softly, “Matthew 6:14: ‘If you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.’ I’m not trying to push religion or anything—I just think… forgiveness matters. And I hope someday you can forgive me for the things I had to do. I’m working on it myself for my own problems. ”
Jordan looked up at her. There was no mockery in her tone, no performance. Just raw sincerity. And that hit him harder than anything else.
“I’m not mad at you,” he said after a moment. “It just… it sucks, you know? You sold my home. My stuff. But I get it. I really do. If my parents died, I’d probably sell their house too. I mean, what am I gonna do with a big empty house I can’t even walk through anymore? Or even if i was full sized would wan to live in.”
Sara smiled, but it was tinged with melancholy.
“I didn’t want to erase your life, Jordy. That’s not what this is about. I made sure the movers saved your family photos. I had them digitized. In a few weeks, we’ll have Little-sized prints made for you. I thought maybe you’d want to hang them in your habitat. Make it feel more like home. Your home.”
Jordan’s eyes widened a little, his throat tightening.
“I… thank you. That means a lot,” he said quietly.
“And I saw all your comics,” she added, her tone lightening a little. “Marvel, mostly, right? So, I subscribed. They don’t print them for Littles, but I figured I could lay them out for you on my desk or bed. The paper’s thin, you should be able to turn the pages without too much trouble. It didn’t look like you saved them or anything”
Jordan blinked, surprised. “Really? I thought I’d never read those again…”
“Well,” Sara said, brushing her thumb affectionately over his back, “I figured it was time to make sure you got some pieces of your old life back. Or at least the stuff that matters.”
Jordan nodded, unsure of what to say. He wasn’t used to this kind of thoughtfulness. Not since… well, not since before Smallara and even then it was far from common.
“I know you’ve had doubts,” Sara continued, “and honestly? I’d be worried if you didn’t. A week ago, you didn’t even know I existed. Now I’m your… well, guardian. That point’s not lost on me.”
She shifted slightly, her voice softening. “I didn’t mean to push you into the thing with Kelli. I thought maybe if you spent time with another Little, it would normalize things. Help you adjust. But I forgot how introverted you are. You need quiet. Space. I’ll make sure we have some chill nights each week. Just you and me. No chaos. No pressure.”
Jordan looked up at her, moved. “You’d really do that? I mean… your life is so busy. It’s kind of daunting, honestly.”
Sara gave a small laugh, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “I like to stay busy. It keeps my mind quiet. But you?” Her eyes softened again. “You help keep me grounded. So yeah, I can toss you a chill night every now and then.”
Jordan felt something shift in him then. Not a revelation, not a moment of complete clarity, but something quieter. A thread pulled loose in the tightly woven knot of resistance he’d been carrying. He wasn’t just a burden to her. He wasn’t just a responsibility.
He mattered.
She wasn’t perfect. He still wasn’t sure how he felt about everything. But in that moment, sitting in her hand while she looked at him like he was someone worth caring about, he started to believe this strange new life could become something more than survival.
Something like belonging.
Sara’s room had become quiet. The kind of stillness that wasn’t awkward, but intimate. Ellie and Steph had drifted out to the other side of the house to grab a couple of things, leaving Sara and Jordan in the gentle hush of fading daylight filtering through the curtains. The air carried the faint scent of Sara’s body spray, coconut and lavender, and Jordan found himself oddly comforted by it.
He sat in her hand still, smaller than the crease in her palm, but she made him feel seen. She wasn’t distracted. She wasn’t multi-tasking. She was just with him.
Sara leaned her back, placing her hand, Jordan included, gently on her chest, just above her heart. The subtle rise and fall of her breathing created a soothing rhythm beneath him.
Jordan spoke before he could stop himself.
“Do you ever think about… the people you leave behind?”
Sara turned her eyes toward him, brows knitting. “Yeah. All the time.” She paused, then added gently, “You’re thinking about your family.”
He nodded slowly. “Allison, mostly.”
Sara was quiet, letting him gather his thoughts.
“She’s younger than me,” he began. “And now she’s applying for or already in Guardian training. Not because she wants to. Because she has to.”
Sara stayed still, listening.
“She’s… she’s taking care of Mom and Dad,” Jordan said, his voice dropping. “They both got infected you know. We had agreed that going into the system would be best for her. Let her live her life is this did turne out to be real. If anything should have to bare it its me. I’m the oldest. I was supposed to be the one who held the family together. Not her.”
Sara’s thumb gently stroked his back, silent reassurance.
“I never wanted this life for her. Having to take care of two Littles. It’s not fair to her.”
“No, it’s not,” Sara said softly.
Jordan looked up at her, surprised by the honesty.
“But life isn’t fair, Jordy,” she continued. “And sometimes it throws things at you that no one deserves. But Allison sounds like the kind of person who steps up. That doesn’t mean it’s not hard, or that she’s not scared. But love makes people stronger than they realize.”
Jordan turned to sit on her chest, knees drawn up to his chest. “I just wanted to protect her.”
Sara’s voice was warm. “You did. You still can, in your own way. You’ve been through hell, and you’re still here, Jordy. That matters. You’re still her big brother.”
“But I’m not the same,” he murmured.
Sara’s gaze never wavered. “Neither is she. You both have had to grow and change faster than you should’ve. But that doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’re alive.”
Jordan didn’t respond right away, and Sara didn’t push. Her finger traced slow, soothing circles along his back again. She felt him exhale, felt the slight tremble in his shoulders relax.
After a while, she spoke again.
“I’m not perfect either,” she said. “I’ve messed up. I’ve said the wrong thing, pushed too hard, made you feel like less than you are. But I’m trying. Every day. Because you matter to me, Jordy. Not just as my Little. As you. As someone who reminds me to slow down. To think. To care.”
Jordan let the words settle.
“I didn’t think I’d ever feel normal again,” he whispered. “But right now… I don’t know. I don’t feel as lost.”
Sara smiled, the kind that showed more in her eyes than her mouth.
“Then we’re both doing something right.”
He leaned against her thumb without thinking, just needing the contact. Her thumb curved protectively around him in return.
“You know,” she said after a moment, “we could call Allison sometime soon. Just the two of us. Maybe seeing you doing okay would help her feel less alone in all this.”
Jordan considered that, then nodded. “Yeah. That might be nice, maybe.”
“I can even let you do the talking,” Sara teased lightly, trying to lift his mood.
He cracked a small smile. “Thanks. Very generous.”
Sara let out a soft laugh, then grew quiet again.
“I may not be your sister,” she said, “but you have me. I want you to know that. I’m not going anywhere.”
Jordan felt something shift again. Another thread of resistance letting go.
“I know,” he said quietly. “Thanks, Sara.”
She didn’t say anything in return. She just brought him a little closer, letting him rest against the soft fabric of her shirt and the steady rhythm of her heartbeat.
In a world where everything had gotten so big, somehow this—this—felt just right.
Between last Friday’s update and now today’s update this shows the side of Sara I want to see more of the kind and gentler side that does care and listens to Jordan. Yet I can’t help but feel like something bad is going to happen at the party to either, Jordan, Sara, or both of them..
It’s possible something good happens or this could be setting up Sara getting hit by a car.
She is a layered person so it’s nice showing her other sides as she does care about Jordan. I think where most people have issue is they like to think of Jordan as a person where canonically in this world he along with all other littles aren’t afforded the same rights as humans.
Which then you read how he is treated by Sara its offputting as its different then what would be preferred by most good people of our world.
If anything does happen to Sara I can see Chloe or Ellie stepping up and becoming Jordan’s guardian especially in Ellie’s case I don’t think she’d give a damn about her parents not wanting her to have a little.
I love the stronger bond they are forming and Sara is being open about why she does what she she does. I think since sara is the best at being a guardian, Jordan and Sara should surprise his sister and help her with her classes and Jordan can be her training little while Sara teachers her walking and little handling.
I hope nothing bad happens at the party. There has already been enough bad stuff =(
THAT WAS FUCKING AMAZING 🥲 ……😭😭😭😭😭😭…. Fuck here comes the water works!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it. The dichotomy between like and dislike is interesting
This chapter was wonderful. I waited so long for this moment.
Awesome, I’m glad it finally came.
this was a very sweet chapter and happy they finally had a talk like this.
also, great idea for her to save his photos and comics. that’d mean a great deal to me too
Yeah she’s not a completely heartless person. Where she does what she thinks is best
for sure. I like seeing this side of her. She’s always got her walls up and, a lot like Madison, I’m always wondering what’s running through her head. Please she has a few things that I relate to very closely lol
0) these are getting long for the main series.
1) “this teenage girl who, despite being shorter than most people, loomed over him like a living mountain” I love the fact that Sara’s short by human standards.
2.1) “Most other Littles Jordan had met were taller than him, Kelli, Gavin, they all had a bit more height, a bit more presence” it is established that Jordan is short even for a little, which would make his situation sting even more.
2.2) “It was one of those small details that shouldn’t have mattered but somehow did. Another reminder of how profoundly his world had changed” Of course it would matter, he’s lost so much he’d want to hold onto as much as he could, dude went from the top 5% in height (15% by US standards) to the bottom whatever %
3.1) “Look, Jordy We’re going to be in each other’s lives… forever” and whose fault is that?
3.2) “Whether that sounds overwhelming or comforting, I don’t know. But it’s the truth” It wouldn’t have been comforting yet.
4.1) “I had the best of intentions with you from the start,” no the fuck you didn’t, you tricked him into it, changed his name to a sexual harassment-type nickname, willfully let him get bullied by multiple people, took and got rid of everything he had without consulting him, you lying bitch.
4.2) “I know it hasn’t always felt like that.” Because it’s not true.
5.1) “Matthew 6:14: ‘If you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions” really? Are you trying to use the bible to guilt him into forgiving you?
5.2) “I just think… forgiveness matters. And I hope someday you can forgive me for the things I had to do” Sara, try forgiving Charity if it’s so important to you!
6.1) “I’m not mad at you,” He isn’t which frustrates me to no end, he just takes her crap and other than one escape attempt hasn’t really pushed back against it.
6.2) “It just… it sucks, you know? You sold my home. My stuff. But I get it. I really do.” he’s so fucking passive and forgiving, it makes it hart to root for him.
7) “I made sure the movers saved your family photos. I had them digitized. In a few weeks, we’ll have Little-sized prints made for you. I thought maybe you’d want to hang them in your habitat. Make it feel more like home. Your home.” and she didn’t wanna tell him that while you were at his home, or when she arranged it? Let me guess, she was gonna offer them up like a gift from the goddess at a moment of her convenience, sitting on them for months.
8.1) “Marvel, mostly, right? So, I subscribed. They don’t print them for Littles” I’m surprised they don’t have digital versions of the comics for his tablet, but I guess they’d be censored if they did.
8.2) “I figured I could lay them out for you on my desk or bed. The paper’s thin, you should be able to turn the pages without too much trouble. It didn’t look like you saved them or anything” that is actually pretty kind of her.
9) “I figured it was time to make sure you got some pieces of your old life back” and why did he have to wait for that?
10) “He wasn’t used to this kind of thoughtfulness. Not since… well, not since before Smallara and even then it was far from common.” especially not from Sara.
11.1) “I know you’ve had doubts,” you do leave a lot to be desired.
11.2) “and honestly? I’d be worried if you didn’t” it can make reading him frustrating.
12.1) “I didn’t mean to push you into the thing with Kelli. I thought maybe if you spent time with another Little, it would normalize things” doesn’t explain why you and Ellie tried to add romantic connotations to it though.
12.2) “I’ll make sure we have some chill nights each week. Just you and me. No chaos. No pressure.” he’d need that, and Sara probably would too.
13) “You’d really do that?” I’d be sceptical too, she does have a long history of broken promises.
14) “I can toss you a chill night every now and then.” damn, it just got down grated from “each week” to “every now and then.”
15.1) “A thread pulled loose in the tightly woven knot of resistance he’d been carrying.” man I wish it was a bigger knot of resistance.
15.2) “He wasn’t just a burden to her. He wasn’t just a responsibility. He mattered.” he’s definitely let trust build up with her.
16) “If anything should have to bare it its me. I’m the oldest. I was supposed to be the one who held the family together. Not her.” typical big brother mindset.
17) “But life isn’t fair, Jordy,” hate it when people say that, I know life isn’t fair, doesn’t mean I’m not gonna complain about it.
18) “You’ve been through hell, and you’re still here, Jordy. That matters. You’re still her big brother.” and who put him through hell again.
17) “Jordan didn’t respond right away, and Sara didn’t push” that’s unlike her.
18) “I’m not perfect either, I’ve messed up. I’ve said the wrong thing, pushed too hard, made you feel like less than you are” We call that the real Sara.
19) “I didn’t think I’d ever feel normal again, But right now… I don’t know. I don’t feel as lost.” He’ll never feel the same, but how he feels now will normalise.
20) “we could call Allison sometime soon. Just the two of us. Maybe seeing you doing okay would help her feel less alone in all this.” That would be good for Alison, at least then she’d not feel like she’s lost him.
21) “Thanks. Very generous.” The bar is so fucking Low for her.
22) “I may not be your sister, “but you have me. I want you to know that. I’m not going anywhere.” no, Sara has Jordan, not the other way around, even if she wants to make it look like an exchange, or friendship, it’s possession, plain and simple.
About point 5.2. I agree with you Lethal Sara has to let the stuff with Charity go and move on with her life. Yes, what Charity did was horrible but she is getting her comeuppance in the form of contracting Smallara and when she shrinks she’ll have no power over anyone.
It’s also why I don’t Sara to get Charity when she becomes a little. You and I both know that Sara would mistreat Charity as a form of vengeance. However, what Sara doesn’t understand is that Jordan is going to see the mistreatment of Charity and become weary of Sara because she has turned into a Jekyll and Hyde type of person and Jordan doesn’t know which of the two personalities he’ll get on any given day.
0) This one is longer, but it didn’t seem right to split it up based on what was happening, so I just made one big chapter.
1)Its one of those little facts that are interesting. shes not absurdly short or anything she’s just not tall.
2.1 and 2.2) it does make it sing more for Jordan as hedoes fall on the smaller side even for male littles. So that could be harder to accept being he was fairly tall pre-smallara. But he is also around fewer littles so a person could just kind of think oh the people im around are just tall.
3) Well Sara wasn’t making it out to be a bad thing. She was just pointing out that they will need to make things work and find ways to work through issues
3.2) I think it would depend on where a person/little was at mentally on if it was comforting or not.
4) I think both statements can be true. A person can have the best of intentions and things quickly fall apart. As originalyl she was calling in to bring him to the hospital so that was a good intention. Its only when that wasn’t an option did things devolve.
4.2) I wouldn’t say its not true partly because of the above point. The point of contention is she unilaterally misled him into consenting to her guardianship of him. While she did later give him an out it was a risk vs reward situation which a person is gambling on the liklihood of getting a better home. Which is probably less likely that a new guardian would be better then Sara if you are just going off averages. I mean a person could end up with A dayton. Which I feel like is the crux of your dislike of Sara.
5) Its not guilting. she is using what she is using to help her try to get passed the Charity situation to try to give Jordan some solace about his situation. As its still something you have to work towards forgiveness isn’t just saying the words. True forgiveness is meaning it which is where Sara is trying to work towards. But that takes time as lying about forgiving someone to god is not wise.
5.2) This is kind of answered in the above but Sara is talking about true forgiveness not just saying “i forgive you” even though you are still bitter. A true religous forgiveness in which you have moved on physically, mentally and spiritually and are at peace with the choice. That takes time and work. Sara has to build and work towards that like anyone else would.
6) While I don’t agree with all of Jordans easy going or lack of holding of accountability. I also am not as upset with Sara as you are. I think she is generally trying her best even if I don’t agree with all the choices. I don’t have a doubt that she had intentions she views as good. Which is why i’m more spympathetic to her then you are. As if she didn’t believe think, and/or know it was the right or good think I would be more harsh upon her. However, someone believing they are doing right and just me not agreeing with their viewpoint is something I can accept but not agree on. So I can understand where Jordan is saying he is not mad.
6.2) This i don’t think is passive he is visualizing himself in her place and saying he would probably do similar and sell everything. As keeping it all would be expensive, cumbersome and complicated. Espcially when it comes taxes and the like. It wouldn’t be cheap.
7) Not a gift from the goddess she didn’t have any tangible thing to show and didn’t wnat to just give him words. So she was waiting to physically show them. She also didn’t know at the time the process or if it was easily possible from a cost stand point as her funds aren’t unlimited. The biggest issue would be tiny frames and glass work. Then having someone digitize them at smaller sizes. So there were factors. Also it hasn’t been that long. she figured with everything going on waiting was probably not the best solution.
8) Correct, censored and such I figured Marvel would want hte original story maintained so they just dont make the concent for littles as opposed to having to change there artistic vision.
8.2) Its a kind gesture. Sometimes all you can do is extend an olive an branch and see where things go.
9) I mean its been less then a week. Its not like she waited months or years. It hasn’t been 3 to 4 years for Jordan like it has the reader.
10) Sara has her moments but Jordan was more talking about in general not about Sara speciifcally
11) I think anyone would have doubts. It would be like finding out you were goign to spend the rest of your life with someone jsut out of the blue and you had never met htem or only seen them in passing.
11.2) I could see that. As Jordan isn’t as worked up over it as you are as he doesn’t mind Sara as much as you do. But your backgrounds are different Your life expierences aren’t his and vice versa. So the reactions to the events are reasonable. As Jordan is more passive. More generally things are okay. I’m not in a bad situation so lets not rock the boat.
12) Thats Ellie though. Sara’s thoughts and Ellie’s thoughts/reasons can be different.
12.2) Probably Jordan more then Sara. But a chill night is always nice especially when you are busy. Everyone needs to recharge the social battery eventually.
13) I have a feeling you and Jordan mean different things with that statment. Which is interesting in and of itself.
14) I dont think it was downgraded more just a turn of phrase as it may not be the same time every week It could be. monday one week and and wedensday the next.
15) To be fair it was never said how big the knot was. Just a tiny thread from the knot pulled lose.
15.2) Jordan does trust Sara more then you do. TIme will tell if it was wise or not.
16) It is an understndable response.
17) thats valid although i dont think she was saying he can’t complain just hte situation isnt fair but everyones hardships in life isn’t equal is what she is getting at. sometimes some people ahve to work harder for the same result and while its not ideal or fair its just life. An imm
18) Some of it was self inflicted.
19) lol, the Sara slander.
20) Atleast she admitted the facts.
21) I agree he will fidn a new normal as they say.
22) its kind of setting up in hte side story where Jordan and Allison were talking from his habitat.
23) He could just be nicely accepting the offer. What would you want him to do?
24) I feel like both can be true on this.
1) the most prominent giantess is on the shorter side.
2.1 and 2.2) But Sara is making sure he spends time around other littles, so it’d sting more and more.
3.1) I see.
3.2) I don’t think he’d be there yet.
4.1) She was doing that at Tiff’s instruction; besides she chose to trick him immediately upon realising the cure was a no go.
4.2) Sara had made sure to show him worse options then half heartedly mentioned that they weren’t all mad.
That is one of the reasons I dislike Sara but not the only one.
5.1) But she isn’t using it to get passed Charity, she’s holding on to her revenge plan for dear life, with zero intention of letting go or forgiving, even her yes-girls Chloe and Ellie are concerned.
5.2) I know what you mean about true religious forgiveness, I get that, the point of that comment was to show Sara’s hypocrisy.
6.1) Jordan’s overly passive mindset does bother me, and the Lack of being held accountable is another thing that I hate.
I don’t think she’s trying her best, I think she’d try her best if Gavin was her little, or Dayton, Ellie, Chloe, But I don’t believe Jordan is getting Sara’s best.
I also think Sara believes she’s doing what’s good but thinking you’re doing good and actually doing good are very different things, I also think Charity believes what she did to Sara was good, very few people actually do what they think is bad, they often make little excuses or mental gymnastics to justify their actions.
6.2)
This i don’t think is passive he is visualizing himself in her place and saying he would probably do similar and sell everything. As keeping it all would be expensive, cumbersome and complicated. Espcially when it comes taxes and the like. It wouldn’t be cheap.
7) She could have mentioned trying/looking into save them while they were selling his things or told him when she made the order. Instead, she rubbed it in his face that he had no power and explained why he wouldn’t need a spatula, then not mentioned it until now.
With everything that was going on he would have benefitted from knowing she was trying to save something, the same benefit she’s trying to give him by telling him now.
8.1) Marvel’s been willing to change their stories and characters quite a lot recently.
9) It’s still something that could hae been said earlier, when she did it, not later.
11.1) Like an arranged marriage, but much worse, lol.
11.2) I know, I have issues that likely come through more than they should.
12.1) True, but Sara was agreeing.
13) Probably
14) Possibly.
15.1) That’s fair.
15.2) I am happy for him, if cautious.
17) I feel like this one got cut short.
18) only in an attempt to escape the hell thrust upon him.
(Damn, I didn’t realise I fucked up the numbers.)
19) I may have been a bit more uppity than usual.
20) She did; this is a very good step for her.
23) Not call something that small “Very generous”.
24) Maybe.
Is it possible to find comments that a user made previously? I had asked about the reloading the page going to the bottom of the page every time, and I wanted to see if you had replied to that question.
You are clicking on the recent comments and not the actual story is my guess. As clicking under recent comments category will take you to the comments at the bottom of the story. Cliking on the story in the middle column will take you to story and start you at top.
