The girls were chatting about outfits and talking about makeup and hairstyles. Jordan could only watch as they meticulously discussed their choices, holding up massive pieces of fabric against their already enormous bodies. To him, the fabrics looked like something more like a elegant circus tent, their sheer size overwhelming from his perspective.
Jordan had never been one for fashion. He had never dipped his toe into that world. However, even he could tell the dresses and outfits they were deciding between were expensive, elegant, luxurious. These weren’t the typical outfits he and his friends would wear when going out or partying. This was something else entirely, a different level of wealth. Thousands of dollars of clothing were lying on Sara’s bed, each discarded outfit worth a mortgage payment, a car, a year’s worth of utilities. It was staggering.
It was sometimes easy to forget that these girls, Sara, Ellie, and their friends, were part of a different world. Sara and her family were the closest to him financially, and even using the word “close” was laughable. Yet, even Sara’s family was magnitudes poorer than Ellie, the heir to the Montgomery-Ward fortune. Her family controlled shipping lanes to and from the East Coast ports. Almost every major trucking company that moved products out of those ports was owned by Montgomery-Ward, and the ones that weren’t belonged to Chloe Gracewood’s family.
Even now, Jordan found it hard to believe that Ellie Montgomery-Ward was just Ellie, someone he joked with, someone who casually flirted with him because, before Smallara, she had found him attractive. But more unbelievable was Sara’s girlfriend, Chloe. Even someone like him, who never followed the business world, knew the name Chloe Gracewood. The richest teenager on the planet. Daughter of the two richest people in the world, owners of the largest private company on Earth. Their wealth was unknown, limitless, because they didn’t have to report their finances. Every time they bought a company, they paid in cash.
And yet, these people casually came and went from Sara’s house. They sat on her bed discussing dresses while he, a former neighbor turned pet, watched. Jordan couldn’t decide if it was amusing or terrifying that the most powerful teens in the country were now in his daily life.
“Earth to Jordan.” Ellie’s voice snapped him from his thoughts. He blinked and looked up, meeting her amused gaze. “What were you thinking about, anyway? It’s not like you to be so zoned out.” She set an outfit down and gave him her full attention. It was something Jordan liked about Ellie. She would joke around and tease him, but if she thought something was actually wrong, she would stop what she was doing and focus entirely on him.
“It’s nothing,” Jordan said, shifting slightly.
Ellie arched a brow. “It wasn’t nothing. If someone said something or was picking on you, Jordy, I’ll take care of it. It’s one thing for me to tease you, but no outsider is going to give you any crap.” She reached out and gave him a gentle pet, a small but comforting gesture.
“It’s really nothing. I was just thinking about your, um, revelation last night,” Jordan said, lowering his voice so only Ellie could hear. He wasn’t sure if Stephanie knew.
Ellie’s expression remained unreadable for a second before she smirked. “Oh, that. It’s not a big deal. I’m the same person I was before you knew.”
“I know that. I was more wondering… is it true that your family is, you know…” Jordan trailed off, unsure how to phrase it.
“My family is what? You’re gonna need to be more specific than that,” Ellie said with a laugh.
Before Jordan could answer, Sara cut in. “Hey, Steph, why don’t you grab us some sodas downstairs? I’m super thirsty, and I just got this cream on my hands.”
“Sure, be back in a jiffy,” Stephanie said as she walked out of the room and headed downstairs.
Jordan glanced up at Sara, who gave him a knowing look before turning to Ellie. “I think he wants to know if you’re a mob boss.”
Jordan looked away sheepishly. He did want to know, but the fact that Sara could read his thoughts so easily was surprising.
Ellie rolled her eyes. “We aren’t part of the mob. You’re so ridiculous. Stop filling his head with this nonsense.” She gave Sara a playful shove.
Sara giggled. “He filled his own head with this. I just know my wittle man.” She shifted into a cutesy voice, smiling warmly at Jordan.
Jordan sighed. “It’s just… I know your family controls a lot of things. Shipping, trucking… the way you talked about it, it sounds like they practically run the country’s entire supply chain.”
Ellie crossed her arms. “It’s not as dramatic as that. We’re just really good at business.”
Sara snorted. “Ellie, be honest. If your dad called the president and asked for something, you think he’d say no?”
Ellie smirked. “I mean… we are an important part of the economy.”
Jordan exhaled slowly, leaning back against Sara’s hand. “So, basically, you’re saying your family’s influence is so big that if you were criminals, no one could stop you.”
Ellie laughed. “Okay, now you’re making it sound like we’re some kind of secret crime syndicate. We’re just business people. It’s all legal.” She paused. “Mostly.”
Jordan gave her a suspicious look. “Mostly?”
Ellie winked. “Relax, Jordy. I’m not going to have you ‘taken care of’ or anything.”
Sara smirked. “You say that, but I swear if he ever ‘mysteriously disappears,’ I’m pointing the cops straight at you.”
Ellie rolled her eyes, reaching over and ruffling Jordan’s hair. “You’re safe, Jordy. But hey, if I was a mob boss, I’d make sure you had a very cushy life.”
Jordan sighed. “Great. I go from normal guy to corporate pet to mafia prince.”
Ellie grinned. “See? There are worse fates.”
Before Jordan could respond, Stephanie returned with sodas. The conversation naturally shifted back to outfits, and Jordan, still processing everything, found himself watching them again.
Despite their wealth and power, they were still just girls, laughing, teasing, planning what to wear. And though the weight of their world was beyond his comprehension, at least for now, they still made him feel like he belonged. Even if it was in the strangest way possible.
more proof, Jordan has it better then 90% of littles lol. Giant beautiful woman taking care of him and they all are some of the riches people in the world lol.
Jordan is in a decent situation comparatively speaking. Sara is poor in comparison to Ellie and Chloe but her family isn’t what inwould call poor.
she makes her own money and I think in her way she was saying sorry to Jordan. It’s good that Jordan understands he needs to be calm and physically engaged with Sara to help her with her possible depression. I know people want him to snap back sometimes but even though he is small , he is a giant help keeping her grounded and always being on her neck or somewhere she can always touch him to know she isn’t alone and has a responsibility to love and protect Jordan so she always has to be strong and healthy to do it. The strong emotional and physical bond Jordan has with with Sara gives him powers to keep Sara mentally healthy and that is a noble job to have in life.
You are right. The intent was her apologizing but it wasn’t meant to be an overt grand act or some kind of speech.
I unfortunately had to deal with mental heath because I got a head injury when I got hit by a car so I can tell you first hand how having someone always by you to hug and talk to you is important. You were correct that even when she is ok she will need Jordans physical and mental bond forever to help her stay solid and happy. Its like keeping her brain on a train track lol.
Now I’m imagining tiny mobsters coming to get Jordan and having a “chat”
lol
0) Why are the girls wearing their Summer/Spring uniforms? I thought the school had dubbed it Autumn, and they were to dress accordingly.
1.1) “It was sometimes easy to forget that these girls, Sara, Ellie, and their friends, were part of a different world” Really, he barely knew these girls. Living with them would be like living in Jötunheimr (land of the giants in Norse mythology), not quite the same as them being wealthy, but it’d be a constant reminder of them being in a different world.
1.2) “Sara’s family was magnitudes poorer than Ellie”, yet Sara herself is the most self-made of her friend group.
2) “It was something Jordan liked about Ellie. She would joke around and tease him, but if she thought something was actually wrong, she would stop what she was doing and focus entirely on him” That’s good of her.
3) “It wasn’t nothing. If someone said something or was picking on you, Jordy, I’ll take care of it. It’s one thing for me to tease you, but no outsider is going to give you any crap.” the insiders are the ones who do most of his bullying.
4) “Jordan said, lowering his voice so only Ellie could hear. He wasn’t sure if Stephanie knew” look who’s learning the art of secrecy.
5)“Hey, Steph, why don’t you grab us some sodas downstairs? I’m super thirsty, and I just got this cream on my hands.” Two sodas in as many days? that’s a lot for Sara.
6) “I think he wants to know if you’re a mob boss.” I’m also curious about that.
7) “We aren’t part of the mob. You’re so ridiculous. Stop filling his head with this nonsense.” – “He filled his own head with this. I just know my wittle man.” this is what happens when you give insufficient information; people fill in the gaps with their imagination.
8) “it sounds like they practically run the country’s entire supply chain.” then obviously the wouldn’t need to become criminals.
9) “Ellie, be honest. If your dad called the president and asked for something, you think he’d say no?” Oh sure, I’m sure Sackson Mongumery and Grant Biggs (My HC name for the President) go way back, school chums, maybe.
10) “We’re just business people. It’s all legal. Mostly.” I’m sure they’ve had to deal with less than legal people in the past.
11) “Relax, Jordy. I’m not going to have you ‘taken care of’ or anything.” well no, she wouldn’t need to.
12) “You say that, but I swear if he ever ‘mysteriously disappears,’ I’m pointing the cops straight at you.” It’s a classic lack of accountability on Sara’s part, lol.
13) “You’re safe, Jordy. But hey, if I was a mob boss, I’d make sure you had a very cushy life.” I’m sure she would, though I’m also on some level thinking he already lives a pretty cushy life.
14) “Great. I go from normal guy to corporate pet to mafia prince.” – “See? There are worse fates.” There are also better fates.
15) “And though the weight of their world was beyond his comprehension, at least for now, they still made him feel like he belonged” I do like that he feels belonging with them
0) The actual reason isnt very exciting. This varient is just easiser to work with as there is less moving parts it also easer to render and uses less resources. The other one has a high overheard cost when i start needing to use multiple instances of it on multiple characters. Where this varient is pretty light as i’ve retexured the items
1) I agree that would be good touchstone for how it would be like.
1.2) Sara is much poorer than Ellie and Chloe’s family. It would be a comedic difference of wealth. Sara’s family is fairly well off if you are a middle class family but if you are a weathly elite they are magnatudes below. Alghough as you said Sara has a fairly high degree of personal wealth that she has accrued herself.
2) Ellie is a good person. She likes to joke around but doesn’t joke around to intentionally hurt someone unless its deserved.
3) She would say something to most insiders though as well. Thats just who she is. If Jordan was like Mallory said X and hurt me. Ellie would 100% address it. But she would also do the same mallory. Ellie protects her people.
4) fool me once, fool me for 540 episodes. But finally learned the art of discretion. Let’s see if it sticks.
5) Well she may not actually drink it. It was more just to get Steph out of the room.
6)You and Jordan on the same page.
7) That is very true. Him coming to this conclusion was on Ellie. Its probably why Sara knew where this was going.
8) I mean no one needs to be criminal. Its always choice.
9) lol no. they just know each other through business. No real history beyond that.
10) exactly the situation.
11) Im sure she has people for that anyway lol
12) thats fair lol
13) Jordan does live pretty cushy life compared to most people let alone littles. But it does come with Caveats
14) I dont know Mafia Prince sounds like a upgrade to me. That would be cool. I picture Mafia Prince Jordan would have a special pillow and Ellie paying someone to just carry the pillow around.
15) I agree. He can recognize hwo things are better although also has to come to terms with how things are worse. Having belonging can help ease the process.
0) I see.
1.2) Sara does seem upper-middle / lower-high class. If they all had the same starting points I’m sure Sara would go furthest.
2) She strikes me as the kind of girl who doesn’t realise she’s hurt people, and the don’t confront her because she intimidates them.
3) If she was gonna do that, I think she would have addressed the Ms. Bak situation by now.
4) I doubt it. But it is a first step.
5) Jordan’s hopes crushed again.
7) I’m surprised Sara picked up on it, often when someone has the full picture (or think they do) they can forget that not all others do.
8) Agreed, when I said that I was thinking of that criminal gang that set up a Pizza place as a money laundering scheme and realised they more profitable as a Pizza place than a gang.
11) indeed, she has her backing.
13) The Caveats are more than I think he’d pay willingly. My life isn’t perfect, but I’m at least free enough to try and change the bad parts. Jordan isn’t
14) I could see that, or she’d commission a straight-up throne for him to sit and be carried on.
15) Yes, though are things enough better for him to make up for what’s worse.
The closeness Sara and Ellie have and Ellie’s not allowed to have a little. I think Ellie and Sara will share Jordan more so he is Bonded to both because they stay at each others houses most of the time and Ellie is already setting up a bathroom set up for Jordan when he is over and a sleep area. So he will have two giant pretty woman doating on him lol.
Whatever Ellie is cooking up at her house for him. It won’t be a simple shoe box with a sweater. So its probably nicer then what the average little would have.
