It was late afternoon. They had been driving for a while, leaving behind distinct neighborhoods and entering a stretch of road lined with towering trees. The shift from asphalt to smooth, pristine concrete caught Jordan’s attention, prompting him to ask where they were.
“We’re on Chloe’s private road. They have their own team of people who maintain it and do snow removal. If Ellie holds you up, you can see Chloe’s house in the distance there. We’re almost to the gate,” Sara explained.
Ellie lifted Jordan up gently so he could get a better view. His eyes widened at the sheer scale of the estate. Chloe’s house wasn’t just a house—it was massive. More like a palace than anything resembling a normal home.
“Do you think Miguel is working today? I love his cookies,” Ellie mused, her tone suddenly hopeful.
“I think he’s on vacation. Paternity leave, I think Nate mentioned,” Sara added.
Ellie gasped. “His wife had the baby? Oh my god, why didn’t I hear about this sooner?” She then glanced down at Jordan, realizing he had no idea who they were talking about. “Sorry, you probably don’t know them. Chloe has a gatehouse where the security staff who manage the entrance work out of.”
“It’s a cute building,” Stephanie chimed in. “It has one big main room, then an office off to the side, plus a bedroom and bathroom for whoever’s on duty.”
As they approached, Sara slowed the car. The sleek, reinforced gates loomed ahead, looking more like the entrance to an exclusive resort than a home.
A large man stepped out of the gatehouse, and as soon as he did, Sara rolled down her window. “Tommy? Oh my god! I haven’t seen you in forever!”
Jordan observed the broad-shouldered man, who gave Sara a warm smile. “Good to see you again, kid. You’re looking a hell of a lot better than last time I saw you. You doing okay? You need me to rough anyone up?” His tone was light, but there was genuine concern in his eyes.
Sara chuckled, shaking her head. “I’m good. Ellie’s been keeping my head on straight. It’s not like you to be working the gate.”
Tommy leaned against the booth, arms crossed. “This party has us on full alert, so I’m helping out down here. You can head to your usual spot.” He waved them through, signaling for the gate to lift.

It was enormous, sprawling across the landscape with multiple wings and a modern but elegant design. The front entrance alone had grand columns, enormous glass windows, and what looked like three separate balconies. He had known Chloe’s family was wealthy, but seeing it like this—especially as a Little—made it all the more overwhelming. If he got lost here, he doubted he’d ever be found again.
Sara pulled the car into a private parking area near a side entrance. “We’ll use the usual way in,” she said casually.
Jordan raised an eyebrow. “Usual?”
“I’m here a lot, Jordy,” Sara reminded him. “Chloe had the staff give me full access. I basically have a second home here.”
Jordan didn’t doubt that for a second.
As they stepped inside, the air was instantly cooler, the scent of fresh flowers and expensive perfume lingering in the hallways. The place was immaculate—not just clean, but curated. Every piece of furniture, every light fixture, every subtle decoration felt intentional, like it had been placed by an interior designer rather than an actual person living there.
Then, as they turned the corner, they saw her.
Chloe.
Sara’s entire face lit up. In an instant, she closed the distance between them, wrapping her arms around Chloe and pulling her in for a deep, affectionate hug. Jordan found himself staring up at Chloe’s back as Sara held her close, whispering something too soft for him to hear before pulling back and kissing her gently. It wasn’t flashy or for show—it was genuine, full of warmth and love.
Ellie and Stephanie exchanged a knowing glance but said nothing. This was typical.
When they finally broke apart, Chloe smiled at Sara before shifting her gaze to Jordan. Her expression softened, and instead of the teasing grandeur he expected, she crouched slightly to meet his eye level, giving him a warm, sincere smile.
“Jordan, you look really nice. That tux suits you.”
Jordan blinked at the simplicity of her compliment, expecting something more over-the-top. “Oh. Uh, thanks.”
Chloe chuckled, reaching out but stopping herself just before touching him. “Is it okay if I…?”
Jordan hesitated but nodded. Chloe gently brushed a finger along his sleeve, feeling the fabric. “Sara really went all out for you. It looks good on you.”
Jordan glanced down at himself, still feeling out of place in such expensive clothes. “Yeah, I, uh… never really had anything like this before. It’s weird.”
Chloe’s smile turned understanding. “I get that. When I was younger, my parents would dress me up for events, and it always felt strange at first. But it’s just clothes. You make it look good, not the other way around.”
Jordan looked up at her, surprised by her down-to-earth response. He had expected some kind of playful teasing, but she just sounded… normal.
“Thanks,” he said more earnestly this time.
Sara smirked, shifting Jordan slightly on her shoulder. “See? Told you Kelli was going to be impressed.”
Chloe laughed. “Oh, she definitely will be.” She gave Jordan one last glance before standing back up and linking her arm through Sara’s.
Jordan sighed, bracing himself. This was only the beginning of the night.

he was my hero in engineering school and for some reason people are upset he is stopping people from stealing money from the government. The news says he is firing people and he doesn’t fire anyone, he just gives the information he found to the head of the departments to do what they want with it. The media is lying like normal about him cutting SSA and he hasn’t. If anything he is saving it by stopping payments to people that have been alive since the revolutionary war. Chloe is a very down to earth person. Her parents have a lot of money and have nice things but they always have made a point to teach there kids the value of a dollar and being humble. Making sure they understand that you have to earn your way in life. which is leads into the generitech values as a whole. They value good people working for them above all else. As if you are a good person any other skill can be trained. but you can’t train someone to be a good person. Thats something that’s taught over a lifetime. So they made sure to install that in their children and look for it in their employees. As they will straight up not hire you if you aren’t a good person and it doesn’t matter what else your resume says.
I wanted their family to be a bit culturally different in that way then say charity and her family.

Why does Sara’a car have the plate “Sara 07” ? The timeline says she was born in 05.

The real answer is because Sara is 15 and Lethal mathed it correctly. Where when I put in Sara’s birth date on the plate I subtracted it from the current year when I first rendered the model which was 2022. So when you subtract 15 you would get 07 but that’s the not the year it is in the story which its still 2020. So Lethal who kindly manages the timelines for the canon and fanfic series was able to subtract correctly.
While I did it incorrectly using the current year.
I have debated for awhile on changing but I was torn between changing it and bringing attention to it or just leaving it. So i went with leaving it to see how long it would take for it to be brought up
