Mallory sat with Gavin on a cushioned bench just outside the main patio, overlooking the breathtaking expanse of Chloe Gracewood’s private estate. The backyard was perfectly manicured, down to the precise symmetry of the hedges and the subtle choreography of the garden lighting. Even for someone like Mallory, who was no stranger to luxury, the scale and polish of Chloe’s world always managed to impress.
But tonight, it wasn’t about status. It wasn’t about aesthetics. It was about the rare stillness between them—the kind of peace that felt fragile and fleeting.
Leaning back, Mallory sighed, letting her eyes drift across the soft glow of the lawn. “Babe, isn’t this just beautiful?” she murmured, her voice low, contemplative.
Gavin rested against her chest, nestled into the crook of her body. At just under four inches tall now, he was featherlight but still carried all the weight of the man he’d been. She cradled him instinctively, protectively, as if to remind him—and herself—that the bond between them was unchanged by his size.
“It’s harder to see all of it now,” Gavin said, his voice quiet, thoughtful. “But I can imagine it. I catch little glimpses—the shimmer on the water, the shape of the trees. It’s still there, just… closer. Smaller.”
Mallory looked down at him, brushing a finger gently along his arm. “I always forget that your vision changed. Like, it’s technically better in clarity, but the distance thing? I can’t imagine what that’s like.”
“It’s like high-definition tunnel vision,” Gavin said with a dry chuckle. “Everything within five feet is crystal clear. Beyond that? Just shapes and color. It’s like living inside a diorama.”
Mallory smiled at his analogy, even as it twisted something in her chest. She wanted so badly to give him back the freedom he’d lost. But tonight, at least, she could give him this moment.
“This is nice though,” he added after a beat. “Just sitting out here. Everything’s been so chaotic lately.”
“Yeah,” Mallory agreed. “You’ve been through a lot. We both have. But I see you trying, Gav. Learning Korean for me? That means everything.”
She took a long sip of her beer and tilted her head back toward the sky. “Who knows? Maybe after I graduate, we pack up and go. South Korea. Fresh start. Somewhere that isn’t here.”
Gavin blinked. “I don’t even have a passport.”
Mallory laughed, the sound rich and warm. “Babe, you’re mine now. You don’t need a passport. You’re a permanent part of my documentation. You’d be a little note at the bottom of my customs declaration. ‘One tiny companion.'”
Gavin tried to laugh along, but something about it struck a nerve. “Yeah. Silly me.”
Mallory glanced down and caught the subtle shift in his expression. Her humor faded. “Hey. I didn’t mean it like that. I’m not trying to make you feel small, just… safe. You don’t have to worry about the logistics. I’ve got you. That’s what being a team means.”
She paused, then added more gently, “Just like I helped you with Helen. I’ll always protect us.”
Gavin tensed slightly at the name. “Helen—”
“Was a parasite,” Mallory said, her tone turning sharp. “She latched onto your grief and used it against you. She manipulated you. Gaslit you. She was obsessed with controlling you.”
Mallory lifted him gently, bringing him to her face and kissing him softly. “I know it’s hard to hear. But I saw it, Gav. I lived through it with you. You gave her too many chances, and she kept hurting you. I couldn’t let that continue.”
“But I was complicit,” Gavin whispered. “I didn’t stop her. I let it happen for too long.”
“You trusted someone you thought cared about you. That’s not a crime. That’s being human.”
Mallory’s eyes locked with his. There was no anger in her, just a fierce, undiluted loyalty.
“And now you have someone who actually does care about you. Who loves you. Who’s going to fight for you, no matter how small the world makes you feel.”
Gavin leaned into her, his tiny hands resting over the curve of her thumb. For all the things he’d lost, this moment reminded him of what he’d kept. And maybe even gained.
“I love you,” he said.
Mallory smiled, her fingers tightening slightly around him. “I know. And I’m not going anywhere.”
For the first time in a long while, Gavin let himself believe it.
And in Mallory’s embrace, he didn’t feel small. He felt held. Protected. Home.
Neat episode with the focus on Gavin and Mailory with a nice interaction between them that feels genuine rather than Mallory controlling Gavin like usual. I do have one question, though. Who is Helen?
Girl Gavin cheated on Mallory with. Mallory found out and bullied her so bad that she had to transfer schools, then Mallory had that school do the same, and she eventually had to go to a public school somewhere else. Idk if there was actual cheating though.
That sums it up perfectly. Don’t fuck with Mallory’s men or little men, or really anything of Mallory’s. She holds a grudge and will end you
I think it’s pretty telling about gavins personality how guilty he feels for what happened to her. Like he probably feels guilty for doing it in the first place, but I get the feeling he’d have rather taken more of the punishment than let Helen’s life get ruined. He seems like he feels even worse because he didn’t just hurt Mallory but because he is the reason Helen went through hell, and that makes me think he’s generally an honorable protective person.
I vaguely remember that you mentioned we won’t see her, but it’d be cool if there was like 2 chapters where Sarah is watching Jordan and Gavin and they run into Helen and Gavin gets a chance to reconcile
Gavin’s punishment is living with that guilt forever. Some say that may be worse then Helen having to go through it. As she will eventually heal. But gavin will forever carry the weight of his actions.
Helen may heal, or Mal’s bullying could push her to do what Sara tried to do, ending her life.
Maybe, she never is planned to appear in the series. So outside of the occasional mention she’s not all that relevant.
Her only creation reason is she is the girl who Gavin cheated on mal with. Then mal erased her from existence for her “crime” from their social world burying her to the point she just serves as an Example of what happens when you cross Mallory. Beyond that plot point her existence is irrelevant canonically. As she served her reason for creation.
Yikes, that seems excessive.
Yeah. I think she went too far, albeit Mallory isn’t at fault. Gavin and Helen knew what would happen if they got caught, I just think Gavin didn’t know it’d be so one sided and feels guilty about it. Like Helen lost basically everything from a social stand point and Gavin mostly got off easy until smallara hit him. Now he’s stuck with Mallory forever on the hope that she doesn’t have a change in feelings for him, which she will most likely have.
Asuka has pointed this out a few times, and it sucks, but Gavin is in this situation because of his own choices, I just hate that it currently comes across that he’s going to be paying for what amounts to a small mistake for the rest of his life if Mallory doesn’t loosen up
Gavin also sold out Sara to Mallory who was covering for him being a good friend.
That part I’ve always been a little unclear on. Like I’m not certain on the details of what happened
To my understanding, Gavin was hiding from Mal, hanging with Sara, but when Mal called Sara asking where Gavin was, Sara lied, claiming not to know where he was. Later, when Mal questioned Gavin as to his location, He told Mal the truth despite knowing Sara had lied to protect him.
This caused a minor rift between Mal and Sara, but that’s been patched up now.
That is correct
wow I had expected something worse lol
Episode 469 is where she’s first brought up
I like this chapter and the closeness they share, I hope Mal keeps fighting for being with Gavin and their is a episode showing how they are able to be more intimate physically because that is a big part of a good relationship.
Oh god is there onions here or something god damn !! 😭😭😭😭
You be cutting a bag of onions
1) “Even for someone like Mallory, who was no stranger to luxury, the scale and polish of Chloe’s world always managed to impress” Chloe is the richest of the rich, 1% of the 1%.
2) “She cradled him instinctively, protectively, as if to remind him—and herself—that the bond between them was unchanged by his size” Well, they would both need reminders.
3) “Everything within five feet is crystal clear. Beyond that? Just shapes and color. It’s like living inside a diorama.” That’s a good way to put it, plus it’s already been established the Littles struggle to see face from the floor so “within five feet” seems right.
4) “She wanted so badly to give him back the freedom he’d lost.” Does she, because she loves taking full advantage of his lack of freedom.
5) “Gavin tried to laugh along, but something about it struck a nerve” I can imagine that happens a lot to many littles who try and look on the brightside.
6) “Hey. I didn’t mean it like that. I’m not trying to make you feel small, just… safe. You don’t have to worry about the logistics. I’ve got you. That’s what being a team means.” that’s some surprising Empathy from Mal, it’s like she’s sent a double to this party instead of going herself.
7) “Just like I helped you with Helen. I’ll always protect us.” That’s closer the real Mallory we all know.
8.1) “She latched onto your grief and used it against you.” what was he grieving?
8.2) “She manipulated you. Gaslit you. She was obsessed with controlling you.” just like Mal.
9) “I know it’s hard to hear. But I saw it, Gav. I lived through it with you. You gave her too many chances, and she kept hurting you. I couldn’t let that continue.” Not sure if it’s true, or just something Mal wants to believe and wants Gavin to believe, but I’m sure the same could be said of Mal.
10) “And now you have someone who actually does care about you. Who loves you. Who’s going to fight for you, no matter how small the world makes you feel.” She’s being awful soft this chapter.
11) “For all the things he’d lost, this moment reminded him of what he’d kept. And maybe even gained” Is it worth it, though? Mal is worse than Sara, ande Sara’s not great.
12) “I love you,” – “I know. And I’m not going anywhere.” You could at least say it back, Bak.
13) “For the first time in a long while, Gavin let himself believe it. And in Mallory’s embrace, he didn’t feel small. He felt held. Protected. Home” That bond is seeming strong.
I believe more people then just CM and I worry Mal will move on or get bored being with little Gavin. I would think Gavin’s mom put into writing like a prenup that if Mal gets with a human boyfriend or husband that she would give up rights to Gavin to protect her son.
I’m in the worried for Gavin’s future camp too.
I’m also worried about Gavin’s precent.
well I guess there are three in the save Gavin club lol.
it is a valid worry. Gavins mom working something in like that isn’t possible. Mallory is now his guardian. Which is intended to be a lifelong commitment. There would need to be an action or breaking of law or rule that would be severe enough to have him removed from her custody.
Mallory getting married to a guy wouldn’t be viewed as anything other then normal and expected by society at large.
I think if Gavin becomes stuck with another guy he will try to escape at his own risk not caring about his health because he is so miserable in life. She only controlled him because he feared the Jar or comforts of life. If he has nothing to fear and just sits in the jar not talking in a trance and doesn’t eat or drink his food in the cage. SHE LOSES ALL POWER lol.
14. 1) “You’ve been through a lot. We both have” trying to imply what evers happened to her is nearly as bad as what’s happened to him is a bit egotistical of her.
14.2) “But I see you trying, Gav.
Learning Korean for me? That means everything.” isn’t him learning Korean still a while away from starting? It was decided In GG 11 witch is in the far future.
14.1) she really has a bad case of narcissism and and poor little Gavin is stuck being like trick pony of the month that will lose popularity and will be moved on from for a different popular thing like a teacup poodle that will mess with him lol.
14.2) I think I saw in some earlier chapters he had started trying to learn. I don’t think he is doing well but is trying lol. If I were him I would offer to do her moms finger and toe nails to get on her good side lol. There are some great in ear language translators I was going to buy one for my wife and I and I think Mal should hit up Chole if they have any that fit a little. That would be a great way to learn to speak any language but still be able to always speak in the foreign togue around the house.
1) you are correct. The gracewoods are definitely the 1% of the 1%. But they do put most of their money back into the company.
2) I agree i think its understated how hard it would be to be in a relationship with a little. As you can be intimate in ways beyond sex. However, little things like being held, cuddling, having your partner make you feel safe would be very difficult.
3) Thanks, that was my thought process as well. I struggled for awhile with how to put it into words. I’m glad it worked out.
4) I don’t think Mal is necessarily taking advantage of him. I do think she is a bit high-maintenance. since Gavin is a little it comes off a bit more demanding than it may if he was full sized. She is far form a saint though. She definitely has her flaws.
5) Yes, I would think so. ALthough in this case Mallory was genuinely not trying to mean anything by it. She was trying to explain that it was handled and not make him feel bad or lesser.
6) Well I established she could be a bit of bitch and she can be. But i also wanted to show that she can also be kind, loving and not a bitch. LIke there was a reason why they were together. Gavin is also far from the nicest of people. He was a bit of player pre-infection. So he isn’t a stranger to hurting someones feelings for his own happiness or gains. THis time smallara just caught up with him. I mean Sara was his best friend and he sold her out after she covered for him.
7) Wanted to make sure people remembered
8) Mallory views him pushing away from the relationship as causing grief and strife. Helen coming in taking advantage of a weakness in their relationship. So mallory repayed Helen and then someone in kind. She also wanted to send a message to the other girls in the school and she did.
8.2) Well not just like mallory. Mallory is controlling but she is not obsessed about it. She just is a dominant alpha personality. Helen made a mistake is trying to reach for someone who wasn’t hers and put herself in a fight she wasn’t going to win. As Mallory is a fighter and also very competitive. She plays to win in all aspects of life. So if you are stepping up take gavin she is going to fight with everything she has and not stop until you are so thoroughly defeated you ever rising to a position to challenge her again is not possible.
9) Nothing she is saying is a lie. However everything is her view of it and how she interpreted the events. Not that its a negative or a positive just in the way we all see something and then we all as people kind of have our own interpretation and understanding of the event.
10) Well despite what people may or may not believe. She does genuinely care about and love Gavin. they are still in high school so who can say what the future holds. However, she does have feelings for him. So she is soft and vulnerable around him in ways she would not be with most other people.
I wanted add a bit of dimension to her character as I felt she was kind of just a 1d character without any kind of layers. Where now she feels a bit more human where she has good and bad qualities.
11) You do have a pretty low view of Sara. So to say Mal is beneath even Sara in your eyes says a lot.
12) I was going for the Han Solo moment.
13) It probably helps they were in a relationship prior.
14) I could see how that could be interpreted that way. Although to be fair it could also be read as we both struggled and her not putting what she has been through as worse just merely stating we are both on a journey and have been through things. Not necessarily equating a weight or value to each persons struggle.
14.2) The thought was he had tried before but it didn’t stick. As a his way to maybe try to make up for cheating. However, when it happens later on its more a specifically this needs to happen type moment.
I think you are missing that Littles should be better at oral sex with a woman then normal sized guys because they are able to stimulate a woman’s nerve centers above better because of their size and then when they get enough blood down bellow to enlarge a curtain female organ, their size will again let them stimulate areas most normal size people would miss or not be able to manipulate with the same precision.
2) I was referring to her treatment of him being the opposite lol. But I agree those points you listed would be a struggle.
3) It was well put, is it the same distance for all Littles?
4) He can’t say no, and has been punished for trying to make a phone call without her permission, everything she’s done, decision she’s made that was without his consent or input is taking advantage of him.
5) She did say she wasn’t good at sensitive stuff.
6) Didn’t Gavin chose her for her popularity, just barely missing out on picking Maisy?
Gavin’s no saint, I agree, I have less sympathy for him than I have for Jordan, but more than I have for Cindy.
8.1) Oh, lol, that’s one hell of an ego.
8.2) I see, I guess not having seen the Helen incident doesn’t help us under stand it.
9) Yeah, she would see it like that, that she’s the heroic Girlfriend and Helens the evil temptress taking advantage of Gav’s moment of weakness.
10) I think she loves him, just not a particularly healthy love, Gavin does see her soft side that others don’t, but he also sees cruelty from her most wouldn’t.
I get that, it just feels a bit out of nowhere.
11) Indeed, but Mal’s earned her place there.
12) It was a dick move when he said it too.
13) One he was contemplating leaving.
14.1) I’m basing my assessment on what I’ve seen prior, not fully realising the new traits Mal’s gained. It does still sound to me like she’s equating them, though.
14.2) That’s pretty sweet of him. I can see why she’d want him to learn it for real, though.
Regarding some of the consequences from decisions and actions that some of the characters have to deal with. Remember the majority of them are teenagers. If Smallara had not come about, many of these decisions would not have been so life altering (certainly Gavin’s actions). Think back to all the stupid things you did as a teenager.
But that is life in this universe and just like life in our universe, it isn’t always fair.
That is a very important aspect is youth does have a tendency to blow things up at times. I know things it thought were a big deal at 15 are laughable now.
Your other point is valid as well. Smallara is a life changing event. Doing something like cheating while bad is obviously much worse if you then catch Smallara. Kind of like if you were going to file for divorce because you were unhappy and then get sick or or injured. Sometimes life has a way of throwing that you and inopertune times.
It’s so strange to see Mallory allowing Gavin to finish his sentences without interruption
