Miah Robinson is a 16 year old sophomore at Summit Peak College Preparatory School. Though an average student, Miah commands popularity at a level that even extends to the Senior grade, though most attribute that to the fact that her cousin, Taylor Robinson, is one of the “hive” that runs the senior class and that makes her someone not to be trifled with.
Miah wasn’t one you’d expect to be a caring guardian with their littles opinions and autonomy at the forefront of their mind. She used to think Littles were kind of beneath her—annoying, helpless, not really people. That’s what she’d picked up from the older voices around her, especially her cousin and some East-Coast podcaster, neither of which ever held back on those opinions. However, meeting Rusty, seeing his defiant, fiery attitude in person, changed that. He was smart, and sweet, and sometimes a little too stubborn for his own good. And once she saw him for who he really was, Miah realized just how wrong those ideas were.
Now, as Dusty’s Gaurdian, she is completely different as a means to both treat him the way he deserves to be treated, and as a way to atone for her original ideas regarding littles. She’s patient with him, listens even when he can’t quite explain what he needs, and protects him in ways he doesn’t even notice. Anyone who wants to mess with Dusty is going to have to deal with her first. And Trust her, it won’t be pretty.
Miah’s into coffee drinks with extra foam, trashy reality shows with way too much drama, and whatever’s trending in fashion that week. She loves cheer practice, but don’t ask her to get sweaty or dirty outside of it—she’s not here for mud, bugs, or gym mats. Biology class is a yuck, wrestling makes her wince, and people who act too “tudy” with her? Instant eye-roll.
People know Miah for her emotional intelligence and the way she can read a room without saying a word. But what most don’t see is how much she absorbs the stress of people she cares about—especially Dusty. And while she’s good at giving people space to work through things, sometimes she waits too long to step in when she really should speak up.
1) “And while she’s good at giving people space to wo” space to do what?
2) “She used to think Littles were kind of beneath her—annoying, helpless, not really people” I’m glad she grew out of that.
3) “That’s what she’d picked up from the older voices around her, especially her cousin and some East-Coast sponsor, neither of which ever held back on those opinions.” Who was sponsoring her? Sarandipity? Maisy’s Family? Preema Tech?
1) damn copy and paste lmao fixed it
2) agreed. I’d say she wanted a little more for doing the work she found inconvenient for school, biology being one of her courses, and then cleaning her makeup brushes and stuff. As long as I do it justice, you’ll see why Dusty would be the perfect Little to counter that idea
3) i must have been on one yesterday. I think i was listening to YouTube and heard Sponsor while i was typing and put that in when i meant podcaster. fixed this too lol
If you are creating a profile of Miah, I understand that you will invest in this story, which makes me very happy. I liked Miah’s profile. The only thing that surprised me a little about your Miah profile is that it seemed very quick for her to see Dusty as an inferior being and become a person who deserves respect, even if sometimes he needs to be protected from himself. One of the most difficult and slow things to happen is for people to rethink their values, their view of the world, when everything around them, friends, family, school, government, etc., says otherwise. But I am very happy to know that she will change her way of thinking. Just think about how quickly she will go through this change. As for Dusty, I like him. He is apparently the opposite of Jordan, someone who is not passive in the face of everything that happens to him, who fights for recognition of his humanity, the complete opposite of Jordan. If one day Sarah and the other people around him stop seeing him as an inferior pet, it certainly will not be because of any effort on his part. Changes will come through other means because if it depends on him, whatever he does, it is most likely that in the future they will stop seeing him as a pet and will see him as an amoeba. As for Dusty, I think he is apparently very impulsive. For someone who is centimetres tall, always facing giants without measuring the consequences may not be very smart. Sometimes fighting a “covert war” and not facing the “enemy” head on can be more efficient. It’s not that Dusty shouldn’t give up on confrontation, quite the opposite. I just think he should be smart to adopt other ways of acting that can help him regain his humanity besides confrontation. A hug.
So I’m still mulling it over. The main reason I’m doing the bios is for rendering practice and so Lethal has stuff for their timeline and notes. I don’t want to go into too much of the reason, namely cause I think it’s obvious from the following, but this story hits a bit close to home for me. Writing a full fledged series would be a lot harder for me personally. The one story I did was just me needing to vent and get some stuff out. That’s still not to say I’m not thinking about it, it’s just I really like Roni and Joey still and if I did do a story for Miah and Dusty, I’d need to think a lot more about how I’d want to go about it and how to distance myself from the story as I go.
As for Miah, well she’s open minded in a interesting way. She’ll be set in her ways about something unless you challenge her directly like how it was implied Dusty did when they first met. After that, she’s way more willing to look at things in a different way. It’s kind of like how a shocking revelation will make a person take real stock of a situation and force them to change how they look it over.
I like Dusty too. You’re right, he’s impulsive and maybe a bit over sensitive and maybe overspeaks because of it, but I don’t think we’ve seen that just yet other than Kelli in the universe. Regarding his humanity, i’d say it remains to be seen if he is really trying to get his humanity, or if he’s looking for something else now, or if he’s just accepted that he’s a little but still isn’t going to put up with being treated as less. He and his dad are very close, and seeing someone you’re close with accepting and being at peace with things tends to rub off on you, so he could just be a vocal about his boundries and things like that, but still accept that this is his new reality and that things are different.
