Charity 57

Whispers of a Former Life: Episode 57

Charity couldn’t believe how large even though younger teen girls were. They couldn’t have been any more then thirteen yet she could do nothing but let them strap their cheap accessories onto her. Allow them to take her picture and post to whatever social media they used. There friends later probably laughing at the sight of her.

The loss of size was hard enough but being thrust into what felt like a different world.  As Charity scanned the massive crowd it was mostly Latinos. Families coming out some shopping the fresh produce, others looking at the trinkets and boubles. Teens and kids grouped up with siblings and friends playing various games along with just hanging out on the late fall day.

It was a freedom Charity knew she would no longer have. She wondered how many people here were like Alejandra. Illegally here in the United States. Feeding off the helping hands and charity of her family. Now all that was gone. The jingle of her ID tag reminding her how far she had fallen. A tag that read Patrona Jimenez. The back having Alejandra’s name and the address of her hole in the wall apartment. The reality settling in on her that now she was registered to Alejandra she too was now no longer a U.S. citizen with her status now tethered to her guardian.

As Alejandra walked through the crowds of people Alejandra’s hair started to flutter around her. Draping over her at times. This led to Charit having to push the thethick rope like hair away from her. The eyes of passerbys focused on her and then Alejandra. She could feel how Alejandra’s status was being elevated by her being owned by Alejandra. She was propping up her former housekeeper to a status she didn’t deserve.

Alejandra walking towards another stall broke Charity’s train of thought. This stall had was ran by another latina woman who looked to be around the same age as Charity. Behind the woman in hte stall was an older latino man in her father.  The booth had a few non-latino customers. They all had littles. Alejandra took a step back waiting patiently as she generally liked to avoid rubbing shoulders with those who are well off. She didn’t want to risk if one of them would recognize Patrona. As it could lead to an issue inregards to her status.

As the group cleared Charity could do nothing but cling to Alejandra. The young clerk smiled and immediately became animated as she spoke to Alejandra. The speed with which they spoke gave Charity to no chance at understanding. The only thing she picked up was that the girls name may have been Renata.

Alejandra lifted Charity off her shoulder momentarily taking her breath away as Renata took a few steps closer now standing next to Alejandra. The girls face lit up. She could hear by the tone of voice that the girl was speaking in a sugary sweet tone. Speaking to her as if she was a puppy or a kitten.

This time the girl pointed towards herself and said Renata. Confirming to Charity that she had heard correctly. Charity looked to Alejandra then over at Renata. The jingle of her ID tag as she moved and turned in Alejadnra’s hand reminding her of her place.

“Renata” Charity said her voice soft. The inability to command or demand any respect was difficult. However, after merely saying her name Renata reached over and gave Charity a gentle affectionate pet.

Alejandra felt Charity’s tiny body squirm slightly in her hand, that helpless twist that always made her lips curve. She shifted her grip just enough to tilt Charity toward Renata’s expectant smile. Their eyes met: Alejandra’s dark and steady, Charity’s wide and trembling, her collar tag giving its little jingle jingle like a bell on a kitten.

Alejandra’s grin softened into something teasing, almost indulgent. She dipped her head closer so Charity couldn’t mistake who was in charge of every word.

“Patrona… mi amiga, Renata.”

She lingered on mi amiga,  warm but possessive, then nudged Charity gently with a finger under her tiny chin, forcing her to face Renata properly.

“Be sweet. Say hi nice, so my amiga knows what a good little you are.” Alejandra said.

Charity’s breath caught in her throat as Alejandra’s finger nudged her chin, making sure she faced Renata properly. Her collar tag jingled again,  another reminder that this greeting wasn’t happening at a gala or her father’s country club, but from the prison of someone’s palm.

Still, instinct took over. Years of her mother’s sharp corrections and her father’s endless networking dinners bubbled up, overriding the sting of her new reality for one pathetic heartbeat.

She tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear with trembling fingers,  a dainty habit from countless debutante evenings,  and forced her lips into something polite, practiced.

Her tiny voice cracked, but the words slipped out smooth, almost automatic:

“Hello, Miss Renata. It’s… it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

The courtesy sounded ridiculous squeaked through the collar’s grip on her throat,  a perfect greeting delivered by a trembling toy, not the icy, superior heiress she’d once been.

She hated how easy it was to remember the script,  and how useless it was now.

Renata’s eyes lit up at the tiny, formal words squeaked from Charity’s lips. She pressed her hand dramatically to her chest, feigning an almost theatrical swoon that made Alejandra chuckle low under her breath.

“Ayyy, qué linda!” Renata cooed, drawing out the words in that sugary tone adults use for expensive little lapdogs. She leaned in close, her warm breath brushing Charity’s hair as she spoke slowly, teasingly:

“Such manners… and such a cute voice, muñequita. You trained her so well, Alejandra.”

Alejandra’s grin stretched wide, pride and mischief mingling in her dark eyes. She adjusted her grip on Charity, pinching her tiny sides just enough to make her squirm in her palm.

“Of course, amiga. She used to think she was too good to say please to anyone like us. Mira ahora…” Her thumb flicked the little ID tag, making it jingle so Renata could hear it too. “…Perfect manners, perfect pet.”

Renata giggled, unable to resist. She reached out with two fingers and gave Charity’s hair a slow, affectionate stroke — then scratched lightly under her chin like testing if she’d purr.

“Mmm… buenísima. If she misbehaves, bring her to my stall next time. I have the cutest little bows for her hair.”

Charity shivered under the touch, fighting to keep her smile pinned in place, the same society smile that once charmed politicians and CEOs. Now it just made her look like a doll Renata could dress up for fun.

Deep inside her chest, something cracked,  but all she could do was nod, the beads on her cheap little bracelet clacking softly against Alejandra’s fingers.

still going a lot better than i was expecting. idk why but charity seems a lot more accepting than the others we’ve seen. Granted, Greg and Cindy had a right to be in heavy denial about their situation, but i’d have thought there’d be more protest from Charity.

True and I think charity sees that AL despite how much she doesn’t want this is treating her well enough and doesn’t mean her harm in the sense she being abused she taking some humiliation from Al and others but nothing to the level of Cindy and Greg or even the guy in birthday shipment

It’s honestly nothing worthy of protest really but charity pride won’t allow that deep down she kinda likes it

I agree with you. Alejandra isn’t being cruel. She’s just treating her like a little without any special treatment.

Charity is a socialite. She has spent alot of time at parties having to be nice and friendly when you don’t want to be somewhere.

So she can separate personal feelings from her interactions with the people Alejandra is introducing her too.

Plus she has known she was infected for awhile. Even thinking it wouldn’t happen to her as money could solve it she had time to process things to some degree. Greg and Cindy were 100% blind sided

I think Greg has accepted it well and is bonding with his daughters, Cindy is different and I think needs to physical bond with Mads to make her a better person/little. she needs to need Madison’s touch and direction instead of her own evil thoughts

Charity being nice to someone doesn’t mean she likes them. She has training on etiquette and manners and socializing as she was a socialite. She can put on a good show when she needs too. That’s very much in her wheel house.

She is also smart enough to identify upsetting Alejandra won’t work well for her.

it’s interesting that charity is learning being a cute little has it’s advantage’s to manipulate giants with cuteness. I am guessing her manipulation skills when she was big is helping her now as a little. Fighting does nothing but playing a good sweet little gives her power. Most littles don’t understand the power they have to manipulate the giants with being cute and needy. Charity is a quick study who it seems learned it from her mom at rich stuff.

very true. it would be a interesting mind over muscle if charity is able to manipulate all of Als giant friends by being the perfect cute doll little. This would elevate Al and in turn give charity more privilege’s and power.

0) Where are her bracelet and anklet in the image?

1) “Charity couldn’t believe how large even the younger teen girls were. They couldn’t have been any more than thirteen, “ She’d flip if she saw a human baby.

2) “She wondered how many people here were like Alejandra. Illegally here in the United States. Feeding off the helping hands and charity of her family” Well, none of them are, despite her name, Charity’s family aren’t that generous.

3) “She could feel how Alejandra’s status was being elevated by her being owned by Alejandra. She was propping up her former housekeeper to a status she didn’t deserve.” that’s true, I could see prices going up for Al given that they’d now think she has more money.

4) “Alejandra took a step back waiting patiently as she generally liked to avoid rubbing shoulders with those who are well off. She didn’t want to risk if one of them would recognize Patrona. As it could lead to an issue inregards to her status.” You know, cause all rich people know each other, lol

5) “As the group cleared Charity could do nothing but cling to Alejandra” though Charity was about to meet another Little for a second there.

6) “The inability to command or demand any respect was difficult” especially for someone very used to it.

7) “Be sweet. Say hi nice, so my amiga knows what a good little you are.” So Renata may be a recurring person in Charity’s new life then.

8) “She tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear with trembling fingers, a dainty habit from countless debutante evenings, and forced her lips into something polite, practiced. Her tiny voice cracked, but the words slipped out smooth, almost automatic: “Hello, Miss Renata. It’s… it’s a pleasure to meet you.” It’s quite interesting to see her high society kicking in.

9) “Ayyy, qué linda!” valid reaction

10) “Such manners… and such a cute voice, muñequita. You trained her so well, Alejandra.” Alejandra hasn’t trained her for shit, that’s all Charity.

11) “Mmm… buenísima. If she misbehaves, bring her to my stall next time. I have the cutest little bows for her hair.” she keeps getting threatened with fashion, lol.

12) “her smile pinned in place, the same society smile that once charmed politicians and CEOs. Now it just made her look like a doll Renata could dress up for fun.” oh how the mighty hath fallen.

1) Another scary issue is that babies have a tendency to put things in their mouths.

0) Fair enough.

1 it would be terrifying, but the baby would just be curious and playful

3) She’s walking around with what is basically an “I’m Rich” sign.

4) Definitely.

5) 100+? damn

7) Her Ellie so to speak.

8) It’s just a performance, for most people actually

9) Neither did I, I’m googling all of these as I read

10) I could see that.

12) I’d make that trade.
