The car slowed as it turned onto a shaded cul-de-sac, the soft crunch of tires on gravel fading into the low hum of the idling engine. Charity’s eyes widened as the house came into view, large by any reasonable standard, with white siding and dark blue shutters, an arched window above the front entry, and a gently sloping front yard bordered with neatly trimmed hedges. Still, it wasn’t anywhere near the size of her old family estate.
She watched through the tinted glass, the perspective surreal. She had once stood on balconies twice the height of this entire home. She had hosted spring galas in halls bigger than what this house likely held within. But that world had drifted beyond the horizon, like a dream already fading from memory. This was her reality now, a suburb, a backseat, a collar around her neck jingling with every bump in the road.
The car came to a stop, the subtle jolt making her sway slightly on the slick leather seat.
From above, Evan moved.
She leaned over, unbuckling her own seatbelt with a practiced flick of the wrist, then reached into her lap and drew her hand low over the seat. She extended her palm, hovering it beside Charity, fingers relaxed but expectant.
The message was clear.
“You come into my hand when I lower it like this,” Evan said, her voice laced with a crisp, practiced authority that seemed far older than her years. “Sarandipity does it with her little and she’s the greatest of all time. You should be able to master the concept.”
Charity blinked.
The name Sarandipity struck her like a distant echo, one of those social media influencers Evan and her friends idolized. Sarandipity had gone viral as a variety streamer. She would stream games and incorporate her litlte into content. She had become the spokesperson for little marts globally. As far as she had gone from her life still Sara finds a way to be ever present.
To Evan, Sarandipity was a role model. A standard of excellence in guardianship and achievement in life.
To Charity, she had once been a punchline. Now, she was her benchmark.
Charity stared at the waiting hand. It was clean, nails painted a glossy pink with tiny rhinestones glittering at the cuticles. A small heart sticker clung to the thumbnail. It smelled faintly of vanilla hand lotion, artificial, overwhelming at this scale. Her eyes dropped to the lines in Evan’s palm, deep and sprawling like riverbeds etched into land. The subtle grooves of her skin looked like ridges. The palm itself was a soft landscape of warmth and dominance.
She didn’t want to step into it.
But the hesitation was more symbolic than practical. Charity knew what would happen if she refused. Evan’s smile would thin. Her patience, while often cloaked in tween enthusiasm, could harden like ice when crossed. And besides, what choice did she really have?
None.
With a quiet breath, Charity stepped forward.
The seat’s surface shifted beneath her bare feet, still warm from Evan’s presence. As she walked across the stitched leather, the collar jingled again, each tiny sound echoing with submission. The air was still and silent aside from the distant chirping of birds outside and the occasional tap-tap-tap of Evan’s fingernails against the door.
Charity stepped into the palm.
She felt the warmth of Evan’s skin bloom against her soles, felt the subtle give of her flesh underfoot. Evan’s fingers curled gently but securely around her sides, cradling her like something fragile, but owned.
“There we go,” Evan said sweetly, lifting her from the seat as if she weighed nothing at all. “That wasn’t so hard, was it?”
Charity didn’t respond. She simply sat down in Evan’s hand, legs curled slightly to the side. Her body swayed gently with the rhythm of Evan’s steps as they left the car. The door closed with a muffled thunk, and the outside world pressed in, sunlight streaming in vertical beams through swaying tree branches, the distant drone of a lawnmower, the perfume of freshly cut grass and suburban stillness.
Each step Evan took made Charity’s stomach flutter. She hated how familiar the motion was becoming. Hated how her body was already adjusting, already learning how to balance in someone else’s stride. She was learning the patterns of Evan’s movements. The rhythm of her gait. The timing of her pauses. If she was going to find a way to survive this, she’d have to learn everything. Not just about the girl, but about the cage itself.
Up the driveway. Up the steps. The front door opened with a squeak.
They were home.
Evan’s home.
Charity’s new world.

I can’t wait to meet Evan’s mom and see Evan’s room, which will serve as Charity’s new home, plus the mention of Sara was a nice touch. Let’s see how Charity will adapt to her new surroundings
It’d be interesting if Evan only had her dad as a parent. maybe that’s why Evan needs a little and another reason why Mark wanted to find charity. mutually beneficial and he keeps his promise to her dad, which I still want to know what was up with Mark at his lowest point lol
That would have been a interesting twist had i htought of it at the time. But Evan’s mother’s name is Jean. She appears a few times this week.
i feel like a lot of authors are like that lol
looking forward to meeting Jean though. hopefully she says Charity is a person like mark has been thus far. that’s a good sign for me, personally
Evan’s room comes tomorrow. Sara kind of ties the two worlds together along with Charity who crosses over from the mainline smallara story to Madison’s World story. Along with another character who isn’t directly involved in the stories events. Is around and present.
Who is this other character?
Funny how Evan looks as Sara as a role model guardian but ends up following Cindy’s ways? And before everyone comes for me saying we don’t know what Evan is like yet… then explain the “community” more like cult… and explain little sits and only calling people like miss kingsley! As much as lethal complains about Sara she would be disgusted by Cindy and by the girls community
True.
that’s a great observation. It could be that she only see’s what Sara and Jordan are like on camera and assumes that Sara does things the way Cindy does\instructed off the camera. it’d be cool for Madison and Kenzie with Greg and Cindy to run into Kayla and Sara with Kelli and Jordan and see that they are clearly doing things very different from how Cindy said. might be a shellshock moment for madison, assuming she’s really that big of a fan of Sara’s that her opinion overshadows her love for her mom, since that’s what’s driving her to take care of cindy and greg in the manner that she has been.
I will just say you only have seen Evan with the framing of Cindy being trained within her own teachings.
You have yet to see how Evan actually treats charity and how closely she follows all of Cindy’s methods along with her actual thoughts on everything.
As far as the community parts. My only real thought would be in contrast to Sara. If you are designing a system to manage a large group of people you would require a different strategy for that to work. Just like you manage a classroom differently than one child.
The same would be for a community. It requires a different structure to maintain order and differing personalities.
As for the names. I would address the head of state differently then I would lethal in a bar. Madison and her friends to the community would be more like a head of state.
It also never covered private address versus public. Which was a theme In the main Madison’s world story
Heads of states/ Heads of Cults! I gets ya!
Depending on the country you live in they are the same thing
That’s true but history doesn’t look back on cult leaders with fondness 🤣🫣
I would think 5 littles are fairly manageable with Saras rules. My dad and other dads handled 10 crazy boys in cub scouts with out rules like that lol.
I agree. I hope Sara makes some appearances through her dads connections to chole to influence Evan away from evil Cindy and show Evan how to have charity around has much as she has Jordan always around her to help the bond and tell charity’s and Evans bond and medical little use on her show and make peace with Charity now that she is a little and cant hurt anyone.
BTW love charitys hair!
I went through so many hairs. I have a hair problem but i like how it ended up turning out. glad you like it as well.
1) “This was her reality now, a suburb” did she not live in a suburb before?
2) “Sarandipity does it with her little and she’s the greatest of all time. You should be able to master the concept.” Charity’s not gonna like Sara praise (for entirely different, less valid reasons than why I don’t like Sara praise)
3) “As far as she had gone from her life still Sara finds a way to be ever present.” Well, Asuka wants all these stories connected.
4) “To Evan, Sarandipity was a role model. A standard of excellence in guardianship and achievement in life.” poor kids got a bad influence.
5) “To Charity, she had once been a punchline. Now, she was her benchmark” at least she’s not your guardian.
6) “Charity knew what would happen if she refused. Evan’s smile would thin. Her patience, while often cloaked in tween enthusiasm, could harden like ice when crossed.” it’s what Charity would do in Evan’s position.
7) “Charity didn’t respond. She simply sat down in Evan’s hand, legs curled slightly to the side” Aww, Charity, not much to say? Lol
8) “If she was going to find a way to survive this, she’d have to learn everything. Not just about the girl, but about the cage itself.” Strategising is good
1) Well she lived in a gated community where Evan llfe is truly a suburbian lifestyle. So its a bit different. I mean Evan has to mow the yard herself. Her parents dont have people for it.
2) I like how in back to back episodes you have compared similar expierences between yourself and Charity. lol But in all seriousness I do agree with you. That Charity is probably less than thrilled with that comparison.
3) Yes, although Madison, Evan, Sara, etc. all live in the same city. so its less shocking. Its not like Sara lives in main. Shes also a very popular streamer.
4) I was waiting for this remark.
5) That would have been awkward for Charity. Although i know a segment of people wanted to see Charity end up as sara’s little.
6) Oh most certainly I there is a large degree of Charity viewing things like this as what she would do and not entirely what Evan would do. As Evan is a nicer person then charity which is not something i would consider spoilerly. As just how Evan has been depicted so far you can see she is nicer then Charity.
7) She may be “lost” for words.. for hte first time ever.
8) You’ve been calling for a little to do this for awhile. Charity is heeding your words.
5) I think Sara is the best guardian by skill and hardly ever leaving Jordan in his cage. She and intergraded Jordan into her life and had learned from her early mistakes. I think her making guest appearances in multilabel stories like others will really tie things together and kill Cindy’s influence for Sara’s better not perfect influence.
I agree with you on Sara. She has done a good job with Jordan I think. Even if #1 Sara fan Lethal may pick some nits.
Sarah Superfan should be Lethals tag on the website.
I should check what the cost is to have produced a poster sized sara print for his wall and ship it to australia.
maybe you can make what you think lethal looks like in daz as a little and add that to the poster haha
1) Oh, the horror, poor Evan.
2) Yeah, I noticed that too; it’s a disturbing pattern.
3) True, Madison met Sara at Guardian training, Evan potentially met Dayton during her training (Still my head canon that she and Brooklyn were in Dayton and Syd’s class)
4) Patience rewarded, lol
5) I know, some still want them to cross paths.
6) Charity would definitely be meaner than Evan as a guardian, unless her Little was Kira or someone important to her.
7) Damn.
8) Oh joy, my second least favourite little (after Cindy) doing what I’ve wanted for a while.
The conversation between characters is shot but the the inside thinking and the details is bigger .
I would agree with that assessment
What come next after Evan’s World?
