“Sorry, I was giving Dayton a talking too and then making sure she ate real food. If you don’t watch her she will just eat junk all day.” Sara said as she slid onto the sofa next to Chloe “So what were you two talking about?”
“Oh, Jordan was just asking about Little’s and their training. I guess Dayton talking about it.”
“Oh did you tell him about that waitress you say who kept the guy in her shoe all day? That was so gross. I’m surprised he wasn’t dead.”
“No, I didn’t mention that.”
“Oh man, did you mention that weird seafood restaurant you went to where they had a tank full of people right next to the tank of lobsters? I still can’t believe you ate there.”
“Well, we didn’t have much choice. We were guests and couldn’t be rude. I hadn’t brought that up either as I didn’t want to scare him. I just mentioned the girl with the belt.”
“Oh yeah, belt girl. I forgot about her. I’m glad to see you two are getting along. I told you it wasn’t so scary holding him. She was so scared Body Hottie. You should have seen the look on her face when I left you with her to talk with Dayton.
“We don’t need to relive that. Did you talk to her about training Jordan? She can’t say that to him and she needs to be more respectful of him. As Jordan is awfully shy he won’t advocate for himself.”
“Yeah, I spoke with her about it. She had found some sites that gave her bad information. She was trying to help me and thought she was doing right.”
“You told her what she was trying to do was wrong, right?” Chloe asserted
“Of course, Body Hottie doesn’t need that kind of training. It’s upsetting that he tried to run away, but we will discuss that later at home. We do need to get him a collar after this.”
Jordan had listened to their conversation not sure when or if to interrupt. They were talking about him but it felt more like two parents talking and he was some child waiting to be spoken to.
“I think he’s hungry. I will be right back with his food babe.” Sara said as bent over giving Chloe a kiss on the cheek before getting up and walking away just as quickly as she busted back into the scene.
Chloe seemed understanding from what he had seen of her the past few days. If anyone would be able to sway Sara to stop this collar nonsense it would be her.
“You don’t think you’d be able to talk to her about this? I get it I messed up but I don’t need a collar. I’m not going to try to run away again and even if I did it’s not like a collar would be able to stop me.” Jordan said hoping his plea would sway her.
“Well, the collars are a part of the little I.D. system. Anyone with a phone would be able to see you are a registered little. Plus for the guardian, it allows for tracking. Kind of like if you’ve ever used google maps on your phone when you can’t find your car and it will direct you to where you parked in the lot. The collar can tell the guardian exactly where you are at all times.”
“I didn’t agree to this. I have personal rights. Tell her she can’t do this.”
“In this case, it’s not fully Sara’s choice. It’s the law that all guardians will need to have their Littles collared by the end of the year. So she will be required to get you a collar so you can be ID’d. Now do I think your actions today spurred her to get you one sooner? Yes, but you have to take some blame in that. I understand why you would feel like you needed to run. I may have picked a better time and place but I get it. However, that doesn’t change the fact she also feels a responsibility to you and wants to keep you safe even if it’s saving you from yourself.”
“It just makes me feel less human.”
“I understand that. But, she’s putting on a brave face but you worried her. She wanted to go back into the yard right away when Nicolle texted her and get you. However, we had to talk her out of it. As you needed to see for yourself and come to your own conclusion about how nuts that was. Otherwise, you would just do it again.” Chloe said as Sara walked over.
“How’s my whitto man doing? I bet you’re hungry. Come on then” Sara said setting her hand down next to Jordan. He was hungry so he crawled onto Sara’s hand.
