I was going to reply, but I thought I would make a post just for visibility’s sake. The new story is in production. It is called “Becoming Grey”. However, the scope of it is more expansive than other stories I’ve done in this world. I had to create a lot of additional lore around this story, it themes, ideas, etc. Obviously, when creating lore, not all of it is used, but you need a framework to go off of.
An example I will use is that I specifically had to create a system around civic regions and not just civic regions: how they are applied to the government and how governments would be viewed within the government they exist in and globally. What laws can be formed, do tax laws exist, etc. The majority of it may never come up in the story, but structure needs to exist in order to keep things as consistent with the world as possible, and for when people inevitably have questions, I have a framework from which i can answer and not just shoot from the hip.
That is just one of many examples, so the lore, creation, and outlining process has been more in-depth. Another aspect of this story is time. While I won’t elaborate on that. It has increased the scope and framework I normally write from.
So I am aiming for the 31st or the 7th for when I can start posting, as I want to at least have 15 chapters made, which is 3 weeks’ worth of content. So I’m not trying to write next week’s chapters while posting the current chapters, as that is not a fun way to write, from experience.
People thinking writing is easy need to look in the mirror. Anyway I’m looking forward to the new story.
