A few minutes ago….
Sara walked into the dining room looking at Dayton staring at the sandwich she had made her. Sara could tell Dayton was less than impressed with the meal. However, she hadn’t deserved anything more than that in her eyes.
“I’m really sorry Sara. I honestly was trying to help you train him.” Dayton said as she picked at her dinner.
“Dayton, I don’t even know where to begin. You were bullying him. I heard the recording at the end of the TikTok video Steph and I made. You are so much better than this. What were you even thinking?”
“Well, they aren’t like us so I didn’t think it mattered. I was just trying to train him so he would be obedient to you. I thought then…”
“They aren’t like us but they still deserve respect. They still have intelligence and the ability to reason. You can’t just lump them in and think well Dogs, cats, cattle, underbreds, and pigs are all the same and deserve to be treated the same.” Sara said sitting down across from Dayton.
“Well you had said he was a pet and at school, we learned how they were genetically different than us. They are calling them Homo-Parvus instead of Homo-Sapiens like us.” Dayton argued.
“Dayton, that is true. However, they are still unique in that they can communicate, think, react, and learn just like us. Jordan is my pet. He is defenseless and struggles to maintain the proper body temperature, and has to eat differently than we do as many things are too tough for them to chew or break through the exterior layer. Like apples, you need to take a bite out of one before you give it to them and then they will eat along where your bite mark is as its been weakened enough for them. You should be looking out for and protecting them. Helping them assimilate into this new life.”
“I understand. I will try and be better.”
“I don’t think you do. It’s not just an I messed up situation. You need to fundamentally look at how you treat others. You can be an amazing person Dayton. I just want you to be that amazing, sweet, and generous person all the time. You are out here trying to be Darth Vader to every Little. You can’t build a relationship of trust solely around fear. You also need respect and trust. That is only built over time. I’ve had to work to get where I’m at with Jordan now and we have a long ways to go. When I put my hand down he comes to me because he knows it’s safe.”
“He still tried to run away though.” Dayton countered.
“Yes, and that’s because trust isn’t built over a couple of days. We knew each other at best in passing last week at this time. I was just his neighbor. It’s only now things are changing.”
“I — I will work on trying to be better. I still can’t believe Nicolle was the weak link. My most trusted general.”
“Dayton, you aren’t running an army and this was exactly what I was talking about. Remember be better all the time not just when you want or need something.”
“I suppose I can let Nicolle slide. She is my best friend.”

Hi are you planning to have your well earned vacation after you reach the point you had at DA i think it was 419 i guess but im not sure or will it straight go on ?
It was 372, but I’m with you in hoping he takes a well earned break.
It won’t go straight on as I have to make the content. Since I’m reuploading all this content I don’t have the time to make the content. So once i get everything uploaded. I can start getting back to actual production of it which would still taken a few weeks as I have to make the images, write the story and all that.
Probably not taking a vacation anymore or else I won’t be able to finish the next day before Christmas and the Christmas break.
Hey Sara, remember last time you let Dayton play with Jordan and you knew she was bullying him then but elected to do nothing because you were being pouty, and therefore, allowing Dayton to learn that she can get away with it. Do you think that might be a factor in why she treats him so poorly?
I think Dayton could have had a 6 week course and she’s still treat Jordan
The same. I could be wrong but she just seems like one of those mean girls.
She might not have been so bold if she knew Sara had known what happened last time, perhaps then she’d think twice about threatening him if she was made aware of how vigilant Sara could be, and if Sara had protected Jordan last time he may have trusted her to save him this time as well, instead she was sulking be cause she wasn’t shown respect she hadn’t earned.
